Back in late 2013, I really had my heart set on a new Malbec Black G37S sedan, but the closest one to me was in TN. There were two Sport sedans left in all of SoCal, and the one closest to me was a liquid platinum model at a dealer I used during my G35S tenure. I wasn’t even looking to sell, just hanging out at the dealer during a service, but they offered me an incredible deal well below invoice. At the time, chrome duck feet were are $3500 dealer installed option, but man they looked insane hanging there on the wall of the accessory counter.
Also at the time, I had no idea that silver would be so timeless and complimentary to my taste for analogous colors and sense of nostalgia over a decade later. If I would have bought the Malbec Black model, I probably would have found myself with a different relationship to chrome. I’m also fortunate that I live in a state where car culture is part of our DNA and craftsman span generations.

So not today but a few weeks ago - We went down to Z1 for the Z Nationals event and lucky yours truly WON a Z1 Touring catback exhaust for my G!
Z1 held a raffle and my entry to the event gave me 5 raffle tickets. I wasn't very hopeful and spread out my 5 tickets on 5 different prizes. Somehow my single ticket in the G Catback bucket was lucky enough to be the winner. So here's a picture dump of loading up the exhaust and getting it installed a couple of weeks ago. I'm really happy with the sound, not too loud and no trumpet sounds.

What's it like compared to your old ISR? The Y-pipes look identical, except for location of the slightly smaller flex section.
Thanks! And I'm still surprised by my luck. The ISR Y-pipe has slightly larger tubing and I wasn't happy with the ISR hardware (strange head sizes and lengths that caused interference). The ISR with the factory Y-back had a strange sound to it, possibly due to restrictions when the piping necks down to meet the factory diameter.
I had my eyes on the Z1 months ago when my Y-pipe started leaking but took the budget route and just replaced the faulty OEM Y-pipe with the ISR, and somehow just 6 weeks later I won the Z1 unit, kind of ironic.

Love the look of that Z1 Catback. The ISR outlet is likely 3" and the inlet to the midpipe is 2.5" as that's sound is always an issue with aftermarket Ys with the 3" outlet. No. I work with a chrome shop up in Los Angeles called L.A. Wheel and Tire.
My love for chrome goes back to the 80-90s when my old man and I restored Impalas and Chevelles. We had a "chrome guy" then, but I have a better one now.
The pictures don't do the car justice. Chrome Sport Wheels were a $3500 dealer installed upgrade when I bought the car, but that was 10% of the price I paid for the entire car back then.
I still have my originals that are in great shape, so I can swap them out if I get tired staring into the depth of the meticulously polished chrome surface.
Last weekend, I bought the Tanabe strut bar for my Q70L sedan at Tunerz Store for 156.90 dollars with 20 bucks shipping. On Monday they contacted me with apologies as the item I bought was actually on backorder and offered me a Cusco strut bar that cost 200 bucks with 20 bucks shipping as a replacement option and, of course, I jumped on it. I installed it yesterday and really like the results of it. Here are some pictures for reference. Apologies for all of the pollen on my engine bay I swear I'll clean it before the holidays.

That works for me. As work slows down I plan on adding to my build thread and to some of the other threads. It's been a busy 1.5-2 years for me. Looking forward to getting back to a "regular".
