I wouldn't trust paint. The blue on my rims had so many chips in it and it had a heavy clear coat. Think about it, your going 75mph and you have some rock kick up and hit your paint. Clear will chip it.

LoL I will when I get a chance, not home now, but when I put my blackberry 8800 flat on the back lip it laid flat, and when I put it on the front lip it keep falling off, it wouldnt stay on. Just an idea of the size I guess.. If I had the option I would have gone with a 4in lip but I didn't.
