Weird Whistle Alarm Upon Start
Weird Whistle Alarm Upon Start
Hey all,
I apologize if this issue has already received some attention, I can’t find any threads discussing it. I have had my G37 for about 2 months now, no issues (09 Sedan w/ 84k). Just yesterday I started getting an odd “alarm” upon a cold start or when the car has been sitting for a few minutes and I start it again. I have never heard this in a car previously, all my cars have been from the 90s/early 2000s up to this point so forgive me if I’m missing something technologically. At first it was only one of the alarm noises, but it’s progressed to more over the course of today. My fob battery was low so I changed it in both fobs thinking it could be that. No luck. No dash lights are on and no warnings are being given.
Video posted below, had to cut it short to upload it, but I had just started the car 10 seconds before it takes place.
Thanks everyone,
I appreciate any help

Sorry about that, I posted from my phone, I will upload as soon as I get access to my computer. I should mention I hear it down near the VDC/Trunk Button area. Near where the key fob inserts manually. The only thing I have plugged in is AV cables in my center console to plug in my iPhone for music. Other than that, nothing.
There is something aftermarket installed under there. There is nothing, stock, that would make that sound. When time permits, remove that panel and look for any aftermarket modules.
