I'm a noob in need of advice/opinions

Hello,
I recently bought an 08 Infiniti G37 coupe grand touring and I have a very limited car knowledge. I'm thinking of buying a topspeed axel back exhaust and some sort of Intake as my first set of upgrades
Does anybody know of any good for the price intakes and or cat back exhaust systems that suite the g37?

-not a lot of drone but still roars

unless you want to spend $400+ for a noisemaker and underhood bling, skip the intake, IMHO. it won't do much for performance.

Takeda and Stillen LTCAIs have dyno proven gains...

Welcome to the forums.

As for your questions just use the search area on the top of the page and type in axle back exhaust or intake and you'll have pages and pages of useful opnions.

And after you do that, start reading. No posting, just reading. Be sure to visit the Engine Intake & Exhaust forum, too. Once you're thoroughly confused, that's when you start posting.

Everyone is going to have different opinions.

Start off reading about intakes and exhausts on this forum. Listen to them on youtube or if you can find someone with them even better. Then make a decision. The opinions people give you will be all over the place. If your initially looking to turn that kitten OEM exhaust into a lion....then any axel back exhaust will essentially do that for you or intake. Just stick with the quality ones that are popular on this forum and you will do okay. Also, please install these yourself....they are easy to do and you will learn by doing! Honestly, If you have things installed for you that are easy to install like a axel back or intake...then your not really a car guy IMOP....learn by doing!

yeah, but its $560 for 11hp (Stillen). the butt dyno would barely register that. im not sure i'd pay 1/2 that price for 11hp.

With that mindset there are no mods worthy for this car when your measure is $/hp.

Anyways, you can get the intakes around here for ~$300 used pretty regularly...

I did say I have a limited car knowledge but I do have more knowledge than the average joe. Instillation will be very easy for the parts I'm looking for, I don't want to pay a garage to bolt on parts for 300 dollars
