Stillen Gen 3 Dyno tested

I already have a review of this mod on my build thread, but I will post it individually here, making it easier to find as a reference.

Car is a 2011 G37S Sedan 7 A/T

Here is a baseline dyno. No mods at all. Pretty weak..
chart pic below (254 was 100% stock while 258 was with stock intake filters removed)

Here is my best run with the Stillen Gen 3
265.35hp
223.56tq

comparison stock vs stillen intake:

HP= 254.17 vs 265.35 = 11.18 HP gain
TQ= 219.34 vs 223.56 = 4.22 TQ gain

and a bonus video of my 1st run:

Hope this info helps. Happy modding.

Honestly, I think you need to slap your dyno operator upside the head for:

1) using speed on the X-axis
2) plotting on such a macro scale
3) not overlaying a before and after

Does this mean that the differences in HP and Torque before/after aren't apparent on these charts because the measurement units are too large?

I think that is what he means.

Can't really complain for $20 per dyno session lol.

Well nevertheless, thanks for dynoing and posting Alfredo.

So according to the before and after, the Stillen Gen 3 adds really no gains, except for the very top end?

And stock intake VS no intake are almost identical?

I guess this goes back to the whole short ram intake VS CAI that continues.

Does tuning make a difference here, before and after?

Would the air/fuel be slightly off after removing the intake entirely or adding an after market intake?

I assume your before and after dynos are un-tuned?

Yeah, that's where I was going, but you're right, for just 20 bucks you certainly got your money's worth. It's just sad because the dyno operator COULD have made it so much better for zero additional cost/effort.

It looks like most gains are on the top end. Hard to tell anywhere else because like vq said, it is on a macro scale. Both are untuned and I assume that with a tune, the gains would be greater. Not sure about the air/fuel change though.

I have the dyno files on a USB, so the graphs can be fixed. Can't view them because the software is not compatible with Mac. If anyone wants them, just PM me.
