another newbie
greetings. from chicago and have been lurking for this past year. finally pulled a trigger last night on 2013 graphite shadow g37x coupe 7AT with 23k miles. first time buying a used/pre-owned car. was originally thinking about going non-navi since i think the navi (specifically Waze) on a smartphone is far superior for my needs, but the ability to stream audio over bluetooth was too important.
all my cars have been manual transmission since i have been driving (24 years...time flies) and i finally got tired of driving stick. i do plan on getting a 2nd car with manual transmission, but that will be further down the road, when i have another garage spot. i traded in my 2013 Honda Accord EXL V6 coupe 6MT for the g37x. i liked the accord as it was quite smooth and a great highway cruiser with nice safety features, but it didn't feel that great with that much horsepower going to a FWD. previous car before that was a 350z Touring 6MT, so now i'm back to a VQ RWD (biased) car.
not going to be modding it much besides tint, change out some of the bulbs to LED, blackout the front grill, add rear spoiler (or maybe just color match the chrome trunk lip???), definitely different tires than the stock dunlops (find them quite noisy), and maybe new wheels to go with the tires. will probably do it in that order.
