Paint Problems on my new G37s

Newbie here! Got my black 08 G37s this past friday, and I have a problem with my paint. There are hundred of little "specks" or little wholes in the clear coat all over the car (mainly trunk and top and little on the hood). All of them are about the same size, little bigger that a ball point pen. I bought the car with 10,000 miles on it, so I am not the first owner. I went to a detail shop and they told me that it was a bad paint job that cause it. I took it to the Infiniti dealership and they told me that something ate through it and they would not cover it. They said maybe tree sap or someother thing. There is noway tree sap did this. I would post some pics but haven't figured how to yet. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Unlike the post in the link you posted, my "holes" are very noticeable, you can see them standing 5' away. I am hoping the dealership will take care of this so its not out of my pocket.
So can anybody tell me or send me a link on how to post a pic. I click on add a pic and its looking for a hyper link.

I have them on my BO too but not to the degree that you say yours are. I bought mine new. They are very tiny but you cant see them unless your nose is just about touching the car.

We posted at the same time. Yes, yours are definitely much worse than mine. Have you tried polishing them out?

Haven't tried polishing yet, really want the dealership to take care of this. Is this a problem with the factory paint job or is it like the dealership told me today that something must have gotten on it and ate through it.

Nothing ate mine, but mine isn't nearly as bad as yours is. You didn't notice this when you bought it?

I knew someone was going to ask that. The 2 times I went to see the car was a night. I thought it was just "dirt" or something on the car.

i've seen a problem like that before...but not THAT bad...the verdict was the car was in the body shop, and someone was using a grinding close to the vehicle, the sparks were landing on the car and eventually melted it's way through the clear coat....

and funny thing is i just picked up an 08 g37s...and the paint was perfect...except one spot on the trunk which i noticed....dealership said they were gonna fix it no questions asked....i'm thinking they cheaped out on the clear coat from the factory....OR it could be the protective wrap that they wrap the cars with on delivery...usually those films are wrapped right after the paint cures (or at least they think that the paint is cured), and when the dealership removes the film, bits and pieces of clear coat is ripped off of the body...causing that effect....
