New Here...1 Question

Hello to all. Just bought a new-to-me 2009 G37X. It's a 1 owner with 39,000 miles on it. A little back story...my company, Allison Transmisson, was previously owned by GM and we still get the GM discount on new vehicles. My last 5 new vehicles have been GM. My wife has an 08 Saturn Outlook and I have an 04 Silverado. The Silverado has 134,000 miles on it and real big issues, it's been a great truck. I was in the "mood" for something a little more sporty though. Outside of a Cadillac, GM just didn't have anything that fit my wants. My dad is a BMW guy, has a 330i. I really wanted an Audi A5. However my wife said, "yeah, right, no Audi for you." I think I got a pretty OK deal on the G37X, $20,000. Being a 1 owner with a clean Carfax, the car itself is pretty clean. I'd love to have 400hp and 500 ft lbs of torque like most, but I've lived those days of endless money dropping in my previous, pre-family, life with my motorcycles and 96' Z/28. I'm pretty happy with the G the way it is. I do have 1 question. The interior has the faux wood trim. I need to replace the upper trim piece on the passenger door. Any recommendations on where to look on the Web for this? Thanks.

Do you want to know how to take the trim off? or just trying to find where to buy it? for removing the trim I just used the search button and linked some threads on how to remove them. Try the private classified section and see if any are for sell or google.

The Saturn Outlook was a great little SUV. Vastly under-rated.

Welcome to the forums!

I'd suggest looking on eBay or CL for a used one, it may take longer, but you'll save more IMO

...Or take it to an upholstery shop for a quote

As stated above OR you could ship all the trim off to carbon fiber element and have them covered. If the trim isn't broken of course and only has appearance issues.

some inifiniti dealers have extended the warranty on the wood finishes to 100,000 miles if its from the factory so you may want to call your local dealer before you spend any money...best of luck
