Tint Removal
Do you guys know any good place to get my tint removed. I have to because of a stupid repair order. I have a heat gun but im kinda scared to do it myself. I just need the cheapest place to do it because once it comes off, im gonna get it redone.

i felt the same way as u before i tried it myself. my buddy owns a tint shop and told me how to do it. all you have to do is let ur car bake in the sun for an hour maybe 2 and just peel it off slowly from one corner to another. simple as that! i removed my front windshield tint and rear window myself using this method. before u pull it all off touch the non-tinted area. if its sticky u need to let it heat up more so the glue adheres to it as u pull, if it is smooth keep pulling it off slowly!

What pro tinters do to remove tint is use a black garbage bag cut open so it lays flat.
Cut the bag so its slightly larger than the window
Spray window with a little water and a few drops of soap from a sprayer
Apply garbage bag to inside of window, soapy solution will allow it to cling to the glass
Bake in sun for 1-2 hours. After 1 hour, test a corner, if it comes off clean, not leaving glue behind, keep peeling slowly.
You should be able to peel it off in 1 piece. If it becomes hard to peel, let it bake some more in the sun.
A brillo pad on the rear window would surely mess up the deforster lines in my opinion.
Hope this helps!

Well i took a heat gun to my window, my finger nail, aned a water spray bottle that had some water and soap in it. after heating the window for about 3-4 minutes i peeled off the edge of the window and kept pulling and the tint came right off. one of the windows has some residue left over but thats because it was my first attempt and pulled too slowly. the second window, came off without a problem. saved myself $100.
