I dont live in MD, but for ppl who do.

Starting today around the Rockville area, Cops have placed cameras around local public schools that ppl normally speed through and they have said that if you are caught...the ticket will AUTOMATICALLY DOUBLED!!!

So be careful if you live in that area

That link has other good info bout the cameras and fines as well, not sure if we are talking bout the same cameras, but i thought people who are caught will just be gettin warnings till the end of the month. The real tickets start next month.

Good heads up though, also watch out in MD on the beltway btwn 50 and Wilson Bridge. Lotta police activity... radar and laser. They steppin it up as temps rise

it wasnt just in rockville, 29N/S from cherry hill road, up until 216 were crawling with cops, cars were pulled over left and right. Thank God for my x50.. wouldnt stop going off, was it just for today? or are they going to continue doing it?

 

I heard on 9 news this morning that these cameras are mounted in minivans and are mobile. They basically park it right in front of schools and catch people with photos and all. Just something you think about while you pass those hundred of minivans dropping off kids.

 

I got caught back in Octobert (twice) by DC speed trap cameras. What a load of BS!

 

They were lasering again this mornin. Right at the top of the hill at the Exit for Branch Ave (Route 5) on the inner loop headin for VA.

Ford Explorer had a dump truck pulled over as well.
Looks like the first "mod" for the G is def gonna hafta be laser jammer.

 

Living in rockville is horrible with the amount of cops and their toys, i see prob 5-15 cops a day depending, new chargers, segways, lasers, speed cameras, tons of those things that show you how fast you are going, city patrols, unmarked, within one mile of my house i live by 4 cops, we have redlight cameras on about 1/3 of our lights, sorry to b!tch its just crazy how much money the city spends on it, the cops have nothing to do, i see 4 of them just hanging out in parking lot by my school
