http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1142297086995
^damn..thas a good price too...the chips are for controlling more of the video and resolution "3 LCD Chips (R/G/B); 921,600 Pixels Each"..you get better processing power and color from independent chips...like having more P4's in a computer to do diff things.
thats a great deal you found there Jason. The one Glenn found is rear projection which is an affordable method to go, but would likely not have the better looking picture of the other alternatives. I dont know the facts behind it so Im only repeating what Ive heard and read in some places, but LCD and DLP are the better methods to go. You cant really go wrong with either. Just remember (you prolly already know), there is a diff between LCD and LCD projection.
yea....i didnt see the projection part when i clicked on it...it was under the LCD TV then the 50 " joint ended up being a projection.....dont know why it was listed there and not under the projection part
...oh well crappy webmaster.
I was going to lean towards Dell's Lcd since i have really good experince with them, but i dont know which one is good at the moment cause technology changes every hr of the day.
So Ill wait till launch day for the ps3 and decide then like most ppl should do till they dish out a couple more thousand for a nice TV Set

600Euro = $720

Used component cable with progressive scan , you can get ~400p, which is better than S video if your TV is EDTV. Regular TV can't read progressive scan. You still won't see the diofference here.
Then, you need component cable or HDMI cable with HDTV to show HD-DVD, 720p. You still won't see adifference here, as most HDTV goes to 720p tops.
Blu-Ray is 1020p, you need HDMI, >42 HDTV that could display 1020p,
to see the difference. Most HDTV now goes to 720p max, you stilll won't see a difference as the TV is maxed out,

May not seem like a big deal.. but has anyone noticed the font on the "Spiderman 3" advertisement, and the PS3 advertisement? May not be coincidental, but to the anylizing eye, people tend to think that Sony is trying to advertise both of these big gunning releases in kahoots so that people notice the "3" and see a resemblance. By seeing the resemblance.. it gets imbedded in people's minds that they are in fact drawn to the "3" and that sales of both, PS3 and "Spiderman 3" will in fact aid each other in sales. hahaha it's far-fetched, but that's what my buddy said.. I thought it was interesting, and it makes sense. (well if you're wierd that is)

I don't really see a need to jump on the bandwagon.
I did it with the 360 and not that i regret it but there isn't any killer app for it.
there are in my opinion the most is 5 games worth getting and its not looking anything brighter in the next few months.
I say hold off unless you want to make some financial gains on it as clokwork is pointing out
