By seeing the resemblance.. it gets imbedded in people's minds that they are in fact drawn to the "3" and that sales of both, PS3 and "Spiderman 3" will in fact aid each other in sales. hahaha it's far-fetched, but that's what my buddy said.. I thought it was interesting, and it makes sense. (well if you're wierd that is)
That is the same font used in all of the spiderman movies. It has also been used for PS3 related items for some time. There are a few variations that look pretty similar that I've seen used in other advertizments as well.

I believe the original font was "1979". They were some minor modifications made for the original spiderman font.

dosnt have the card reader slot(not like you really need it ), but its under 2 grand and is bigger.

That's not 1080p, it's 720p. Non of the TV linkes you guys showed
so far is 1080p.

Here is the 42' 1080p.

They are not that much more expensive than 720p, you just need to be careful & do your research.

yea yea..dosnt really matter....most ppl cant even afford it...as longa as the ps3 supporst p and i its all good...besides the link i pointed to if you read the rest of the thread was the wrong one...theres another under the lcd section

Besides why would you buy an lcd now when in 2 months a better one will be dropped...might as wait till then than get the ps3 and do lcd shopping then. Jason just wanted some options like always.

and on that note..back to wanting more of the ps3:

Thats my plan. I'm pretty sure I can hold out on a new TV until then.

There might be a better plan than just waiting. I got a 32" HDTV from Sams Club, Watched 5 & half month, there's a minor sound problem so I returned it.
Sam's club rocks, They have 6 month return policy & even refunded my 2 yr service plan.

If you get one from Sam's club, you can get a HDTV now, Watch it for 5 month for free, return it & get a bigger TV for less money when the PS3 comes out. You need to have a HDTV or two to figure out the difference o

Watch out the HDTV that doesn't have a built in HDTV tunner, don't get those.
The best set has dual tunner on dual plugs, NTSC for hook up cable for regular channels & the ATSC for hook up antana for over the Air free HD broadcasting, then leave the HDMI open fo PS3

Madden 2007

Ok, for those of you who have neglected your gf's, wives and children since you purchased this video game for any system. What are your thoughts?

Do you like the new change to the create-a-player mode where you can only control your player on the team?

What new roles have you opened?

What team drafted you and what round?

What position does your created player play?

Do you have a Positive/Negative/Neutral Ego and what #?

My answers:

I kinda didnt like the change in the creation mode, cuz you can only control you and not the whole team. Sometimes the CPU will call some azz backwards plays (ex 3rd & 15 and the CPU calls a HB dive up the middle)

I have currently unlocked the Rookie, Blocking Back, Lone Wolf and Bruiser Roles

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafter me in the 3rd round pick #12

My created player play Running Back (HB)

Currently I have a Negative Ego and my # is (-19) ....Thats cuz I talk alot of Shyt, but I can back it up

Post your thoughts

any other changes? '06 had the new quarterback vision, which i liked very much. Not sure i have a reason to buy this yr's madden other than for the roster update, that's often not worth the money.

You can change whether you or the cpu controls the rest of the team when you are NOT on the field. example if you are a HB when you are on the bench for 3rd downs or when special teams or defense is on the field. Just push start and the option to change it is in the bottom right corner (push L or R to change if using Xbox)

I have two different create-a-players.

QB

Drafted by the Bucs (forgot which round and pick)

QB rating 132 for the year, 72 total TD's (playoffs included)

15-1 record, Won super bowl (61-55 in OT vs Colts) rookie of the year, MVP, Offense player of the year.

+6 ego

--
HB

Drafted by Jaguars (second round)

neutral ego

Only played 3 games so far.

I agree that CPU picks messed up plays in important situations, but as a QB you can always audible..... as a HB you're screwed. All together though I like the new superstar/hall of fame mode. Puts more emphasis on you as an indivual doing well or poorly.
