^^Yeah they still have the QB vision. The Running games is has been redifined. Not ever person runs the same, they actually have captured the real running abilities. Tiki Barber runs like Tiki Barber, Tatum Bell runs like Tatum Bell.

Also, they have the new hall of fame mode. Where in the created player mode. you go through the season trying to accomplish certain milestones to determine whether or not you are eligible to retire and join the NFL hall of fame. They actually make a statue of your head (gold).

The Gameplans are different. You can actually play the other teams gameplan to see if you team can beat it and find out workarounds in their strategy.

As you play, you can boost your ego during the game...They have an ego meter. If you talk alot of shyt before a game, you get an ego/influence meter. If you perform bad, you ego/influence in the game will decrease and vice versa. Which means if your a (HB) like me, that means, that means that you will get less carries or less passes or even plays that involve you being on the field. Kinda like in the real NFL.

 

I don't think that I'll be getting the PS3 ....
I was at EB Games and the manager was telling me quite a few reasons not to get one like
1)The Blu Ray doesn't even play the regular DVDs that U may already own, but the HD DVD players can...MICROSOFT
2)Y would U pay so much for a video game system that has all of it's technology sealed inside, unlike the 360 where U can build your system up as the years come.
3)There has to be something wrong with the system/Sony if there top games are coming on 360 like FF12 & GTA4 and on top of that God Of War 2 is one of their best selling games and they are bring it out on PS2...WTF
4)Sony is sooooo cheap that they couldn't even pay off the company that created the rumbling function for Nintendo like Microsoft did, thinking that nobody will miss that option in a controller
5)They ripped off the motion sensor idea from of Nintendo
6) They're games are gonna be like 80 dollars and they lost a few of their 3rd party game designers...
7) Metal Gear can't hold a candle to HALO....
So it's not really looking to good for Sony at this point.
He had a couple of good points, but I don't know...I might just go ahead and cop the 360 and just 86 the PS3 idea

 

1) its already confirmed at E3 2005 and E3 2006 that ps2 plays dvd movies, dude dosnt know ****, check gamespot or ign...

3) Tekken 6, Virtua Fighter 5, God of War 3, Devil May Cry 4, GTA5, FF13, Ninja Gaiden (yes tecmo jumped ship to ps3), MGS4, Resident Evil 5 etc are confirmed for ps3...
4) maybe its because that company was bought by M$ and MS wont sell the rigfhts to sony?

I dont think it will either. Regardless, I firmly hope to have a ps3 sittin next to my 360 this year though heh.

Honestly though, the 360 is the best video game machine I have played to date and im not only speaking of graphics but capability. Dead Rising has sealed that for me. Not to mention that Burnout still has crazy amounts of playback I am still experiencing.

On top of that, I dont think anything sony does will top xbox live.

Well I'm not sure if I want to get one of the limited 400,000 that is gonna be in the U.S. come Nov. 17th...I just might luck up and get a defective one, I'll just wait for the 2nd batch....I've waited this long

Sony has a large fan base installed.....i dont think it will lose clintel cause of the price tag..i mean didnt the sega genisis, n64, and nintedo use to cost around a few hundered and look at them now. I think Xbox did great cause you can mod the hell out of it and play roms, and other stuff on it. As for the Ps3 if its mod friendly which im sure these hackers are hoping, it will sell good. And as for the jack off at the Game store don't believe any of them. They never know anything like the guys at the car dealerships. There one in the same.

 

I might have worded it badly. My bad. Im not saying Sony wont beat MS this time around. I hope the competition remains good over the years, which will in turn, (hopefully) prompt great games. I dont think Sony's online feature will be as user friendly or elaborate as the 360 from what I have seen in demos so far. I have seen in game shots from the ps3 and I am nothing short of amazed. Im pretty sure the first batch will have its bugs. I definitely plan on getting the extended warranty to get past all the BS.

 

Yeah, I don't know which console is going to win. But the result wont be like the Xbox/PS2. It'll be close this time.

Sony's online system wont come close to Xbox Live, however Sony is counting on its HUGE established fan base to carry the PS3 through.

My prediction: 360 has a huge lead right now and will maintain the lead, with the PS3 slowly catching up. By Nov. 08 the market share will be pretty even ....

However, if Blu Ray fails and HD DVD wins, the PS3 is dead.

 

1) What evidence do you guys have that PS3's Playstation Network Platform (PNP)wont come close to Xbox Live? I hope its not based on the PS2 online model... because Sony has invested a lot of money into the new centralized platform that aims to best Xbox Live promising to feature everything that xbox live has and more.... Im not saying its going to be better, but i have a feeling you are comparing the ps2 online model, which is decentralized... and not even aware of Sony's next generation online strategy.

2) what does whether blueray vs HD dvd have anything to do with PS3 vs Xbox360? they are game consoles..., you will be able to buy HD DVD players for 19.99 from Target in a year or two.... Xbox360 can not play HD DVD... it has a regular DVD ROM... Microsoft plans on possibly (not confirmed) releasing an add-on HD DVD drive... but add-ons never do well... remember the sega CD, 32x, N64 disk drive, Atari Jaguar CD-ROM?

I believe PS3 have several weaknesses that can be exploited, but online strategy and the blueray format are not amongst them.

 

yeah man thats what is a bit scary about the ps3 to me too. That will kill their predictions of it becoming a multimedia machine. It would end up like Nintendo's efforts and become a gaming only machine which definitely isnt what Sony wants. I would like 1 form of HD capable DVD player in the home with one of these units, but from what MS has planned, they spoke of an addon drive. I dont like that. It just creates bulk. It would also have to be decently priced, and that I dont know about.

Im guessing if MS did deploy the addon drive, it would have a gaming capability also, but that would not be a popular decision since the games would likely cost more and not everyone would have the drive. *shrugs* All in theory anyways.

 

Because, Sony is heavily invested in the Blu Ray format. They've put their entire media strategy on that format. Part of the incentive in buying a PS3 is getting a "free" high def dvd player.

Not everybody wants one, in fact most don't care right now. I'm not saying the format will fail, nobody knows that. But if it does, who wants to pay extra for a system that charges extra for a failed format?

Also, MS has confirmed the add on hd-dvd drive. I'm expecting it to do well across xbox owners. But I'm not sure it will help drive 360 sales...

 

The HD DVD drive is an addon and will be ~$170. It will not do anything except play movies. Expect it in stores late Nov or early Dec
