g37s vs 335i

You don't buy a bimmer for reliability, and I think everyone, including bimmer owners, will agree with that.
Why do you think that is? The market determines the prices, and the market obviously either:
1. Wants to keep their newly purchased G37
2. wants a used G37
3. 335 owners want to dump their cars
4. doesnt want to buy a used 335.
Which one is it? This is simple supply and demand. You understand basic economics right?
Sure, for horsepower. You obviously do not DRIVE your cars. I'd take a M3 over a flashed 335 any day.
I can think of two cars where I've spent close to 40k and voided the factory warranty.
I have neither rich parents and wasn't 16 years old.

Of course I would also take M3 over 335i (i am a previous m3 owner), but track numbers of tuned 335i are almost the same as 335i........there is a vid on youtube that tested Dinan 335 and M3.
Dinan 335 vs M3
335i vs G37S
In the end it all comes donw to PRICE....and not BULLSH1T talk....BMW sucks, BMW is just a name......etc....M3 eats too much gas, suspension is too rough......its all bs.
Its a good joke and i get it.....of course i dont believe that TT G37S is more reliable that 335i, but yeah, when you buy a German car (or probably any Euro car)......its not going to be as reliable as Japanese......and thats the ONLY down side to it. But then again you are all covered for 50k miles and 100k certified. Just like a Ferrari........it is reliable, hell NO, do I want one, HELL YES.
^Exactly it all comes down to price. For the price many people would take the G37 over the 335i. My point was that it is unfair to compare a car with a NA v6 to a car that is TT V6.
And for the 20k comment. I was stating that if one were to purchase the G37 then they would have that much more left over to either mod the car to their liking or save it....then if they had bought a fully loaded 335i with a much higher price tag.
Nonetheless the 335i is a beast but in my argument you cannot compare a NA V6 to a TTV6. That is all.

When I bought my G, the price difference in the G and the 335i didn't make one bit of difference. If the G had been as expensive as the 335 I still would have gotten the G.
I got the G b/c I like the car, not b/c it is the car that happens to be cheap enough. If you like a car that's more expensive just save up for it

I said it before and will say it again......close to 330tq and 330hp is more then enough for me and i wasnt even planning on modding, until i found out that for $160 + 0 labor I can get 40hp and 50tq to wheels without voiding my warranty and without hurting the car (you can get much more it just will cost your around 700)....If TT for G37S was a thousand bucks installed, then i wouldnt say anything here
BMW fan boys should be banned from these forums..
honestly when they come onto a competitors forum all they are looking for is trouble..
these discussions are a waste of time especially when its 1 BMW fan boy vs the rest of us or vice verse.
there is no clear winner because the cars truly are comparable in every aspect. every time we make a valid point about anything, they'll just whip out their 0-60 times or tq numbers and call that a valid point..
all im gonna say is clearly they aren't happy enough with buying a BMW because if they were they wouldnt have to justify and prove it to us at every oppurtunity

i am not a bmw fan boy......maybe i am now....
i am just a person who wanted to buy G37S for its reliability vs BMW, but after a test drive, i decided to get 335i for many reasons.....road feel and performance are among those reasons and bmw just seems to be ahead.
without trying to bash the G, I think this article summarizes my own opinion

When you observe used car prices, the 335 is CHEAPER. Yes, people are willing to pay more for a used G37 than a 335. Why do you think that is?
But generally Euro cars depreciate more that Japanese...why ? because thats what it is......probably due to reliability and maintenance cost
What you paid is market value for the car. Who ever pays what the dealer is asking? lol.
I just got a 2008 CPO 328 for a friend of mine for 20,400 OTD. Only 11k miles on the car.... talk about depreciation.
