SCCA This Past Weekend
As I said earlier, it's virtually impossible to hurt yourself or your car while autocrossing.
At track events, there really is no safety course per se, either. My experience has been a 45 minute to an hr of classroom instruction for everyone---every time, and then novices are required to have an instructor with them until the instructor deems they can go alone. Some novices end up going out alone later on in the day. Some do not.
In any of track events I've attended, the accident described above never would have happened. Very limited access to get on the track and if somebody were to spin out or otherwise go out of control, the track is shut down immediately by the track attendants until the issue is resolved. IMMEDIATELY-
Very poorly run track described above. Very unfortunate.
Of course there is no solution to complete and utter lack of common sense-

Yea bro come out, I did drag racing in the states before I got stationed here, and it was ok. I mean all you do is put the pedal to the metal and after 15 sec or so your done. Kind of like me when I'm at home lol. But yea this was a lot more fun. Didn't even care about my times.
