Changing out Accents

I'm curious how easy it is to change out the wood Accents? I think I've found the car I want to purchase but I'm not 100% sold on the wood, yet. Can someone tell me how hard it would be to get and put in different accents? It looks like I'm going to have to jump into a new G sooner than expected...... Oh darn

All OEM pieces brand new would cost you $2,000+ and a dew hours of DIY. Other options would be a second hand set, likely with dings, for about $500. Finally, you could vinyl wrap them for about $20 and a good amount of DIY time.

Thanks for the information. Good news for me, I've been able to see it first hand and it looks way better then any of the photos show it. So at this time, I'm looking to just leave it as is. But I like the idea of vinyl wrapping them for sure over purchasing all new set as oem.

The wood trim looks nice, especially on the sedan. If your taste changes in the future, you can easily wrap them in vinyl and have a huge selection of finishes at a reasonable price.

You could also post a WTT (want to trade) post in the classifieds and state your location, maybe, just maybe you could find a member nearby that has the aluminum trim and is wanting the wood. Never know until you try

^^^lol

I agree. Just make your post carefully. I can think of at least 5 thread titles off the top of my head for this topic that would be more appropriate for a craigslist hook up ad.

Yes, wade carefully in those waters, but hey, you might get real lucky (if that's your thing )

Check these guys out. I used them on my wife's Durango many years ago. The're wood accents but come in different colors and wood species. The fit and finish was excellent back then
