Z1 Plenum Intake Mani

So I've tried searching through the forum on this matter with no real luck. So hoping maybe some of you that actually have purchased this and installed can weigh in?

Any true gains mid or top end? or loss for that matter? any fitment issues? Stock oem engine cover still fit?

based on the dyno up on Z1, it has very odd lines. Looks like you lose torque throughout the band, yet gain some hp. I'm currently running Stillen CBE and just bought a pair of Stillen HFC's. This would be my last mod prior to a tune and no, I dont plan on getting headers.

Based on most VQ plenum upgrades, gains are going to be minimal with the basic upgrade. You may want to save up for the RJM or AAM plenum where you'll actually see some low and top end.
Until then, finish up the exhaust and then get your tune. Perhaps upgraded cams and injectors might give you a bigger punch with the proper tune too.

Haven't done much research on the AAM or the RJM but will now that you mentioned it. Cams and injectors is not the route im looking for and when it's all said and done. Maybe the plenum may not be the best bang for my buck performance wise

Get the mani ported and call it a day. If you don't want headers, that'll be all you need for the tune.

I've been researching using the RJM lower plenum with a ported OEM GTR intake manifold. It definitely produces some nice gains on a car with FI, but at a fairly hefty price. I'll be interested to hear about whatever you end up deciding to do.

From: Framingham Ma,
The last I saw AAM still have NO numbers to back anything. An at 2k no thanx. For that price it better add 30 WHP, and we know it won't. Either get the Z1 ( stock ported mani) or the motordyne. Motordyne more mid range top end loses it at 6500 Z1 less mid but will make power till 7800.

I went with upper and lower and I'm pleased. Especially for the price. Spend another $200 on the ported throttle bodies.

I wish I had a way to say how much the gains were, but I don't. Lol
I am happy with the results but for me it was worth $750 or so to get all 3 ported

I only have butt dyno to back it up but I'm running the Motordyne and it hasn't stopped pulling yet. I can't say I've tried to get it to stop but I've pushed it a bit.

Can you send me a link to where you got the ported throttle bodies from? I cant find any for that low of a price. All the other throttle bodies I've searched are like $600 +
