CEL after Takeda intake install
As a friendly counter argument, why would someone go through the hassle of cutting the rad support and then install the "inferior and hassle free" install Takeda over the Stillen which has all metal piping and typically slightly better dyno results?

Don't ask me, I went R2C.
Compared 2 weeks worth of intake temp data from daily commutes and found no significant difference compared to stock.
So For me none of these intakes are much different.
OTOH the OP stated he was getting resonance.
Kink, pinch, snug Call it what you want...Cept maybe hassle free.
Okay pushing your button again, the resonance isn't common or more folks would have mentioned it.
I just find it amusing the emotional and logical investments folks have put into intakes types that overall have similar gains.

Regardless of how you finesse the silicon elbows, they will rub and kink, restricting flow. Past 5-6k I would also get a huge resonance from the tubes vibrating against the composite rad support.
I feel much better with this intake now that the tubes are properly installed.

I hear this a lot but cost aside, there are numerous reasons and proven results from members on all kinds of dynos and real world experiences that makes long tube intakes worth it. Lowest improvement in power for a long tube intake I've seen is 8hp. Pretty minimal for sure but that's not bad at all for a basic bolt on for an already stock yet fairly well tuned up car. Realistically, most see 10-15+, especially the 370z guys since there are far more guys modding Z's than G's. Just my thoughts I guess.

I was just saying most of the premium intakes had similar dyno gains posted in the 15-18hp range, and found it funny how folks dukes it out over one brand or another including SRIs.

Glad to see some love here for the setup
I went with the Takeda mainly because of fitment, I was concerned about rubbing the AC lines and this system stays clear. I didn't want to cut but it felt wrong leaving the tube stuffed in the duct the way I had it.
I did like the look of the Stillen with dual filters better so I just ordered some custom made filters for esthetic purposes only.
I had the grille imported from Japan. It's made by ZELE. Amazing fitment and a quality product.
