plenum cleaning procedure?

Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the upper plenum? Is this procedure even needed with 90k miles on the clock? Remove plenum and Flush with a couple cans of CRC throttle body cleaner ?

Should I replace the throttle body gaskets and plenum gasket since I have 90k miles?

I plan on changing spark plugs and cleaning anything intake related seeing that I have almost 90k miles now.

Thanks guys!

From: Framingham Ma,
If you take it off I would do that to clean it. I would also clean ther TB's, change the gaskets, all of them and clean the MAF's. You might wanna clean the lower plenum ports also

Great info, I'll change the gaskets while I'm in there. Thanks.

Do you suggest I remove the lower plenum or just spray TB cleaner on a microfiber and scrub?

From: Framingham Ma,
Cloth and cleaner should be fine, If you remove it tho there's a lot of work cleaning as you'll have to change that gasket also. It has a blk coating on the gasket that cooks onto the motor. When I swap my lower plenum I had to clean a ton plus , leaves and crap LOL

Oh boy, sounds like a blast. Lol. I might just clean TB and change plugs. Does the plenum collect a lot of gunk or mostly around where the TB bolts up?

Takedas same thing tho LOL just loosen both clamp and take them off the TB's a little wiggling and them come off .
The filters easy to just remove the plastic sheild over the radiator and take the 6 10MM nuts off the back of the grill take the grill off and take out the filters

From: Framingham Ma,
Yea its a PIA but you only have to do it if you unplug them. I did that when I swapped out my lower plenum and the relean didn't work the first time. LOL car ran like crap and sputtered. :/ Had to re do it again last night

lol I remembered you had the Takedas after posting. Ok good. So no need to remove the whole damn system to get to the TBs. Phew. Thank you!
