R2C Air intake filter replacements
R2C Air intake swap for stock
I bought my 08 G37S preowned and it came with these R2C modified air intakes. The filters are starting to get a bit dirty. Not knowing much about replacements can somebody tell me where I can get replacement air filters and are they easy to install? Personally, I'd rather have the stock ones as I really have no interest in modifying it. Anybody in the DC area wanna make a trade? I'd rather stock with the stock set up.

If you just want the filters I believe THMotorsports carries them.

Q: Can I wash my R2C filter?
A:
R2C filters feature a specially designed media that allows performance and efficiency to be restored to near new each time by simply using compressed air from inside out, making washing unnecessary to restore filter performance.
R2C Pro Series filters feature a media that is fully compatible with washing. Biodegradable cleaners such as Simple Green or other mild shop degreasers can be used. Simply place the filter in a solution or spray the cleaner on the filter. Allow the solution to loosen the particulate and then rinse thoroughly. Shake the filter or use compressed air from the inside outward to remove residual water and allow a full day or two to dry. While the media may discolor and become light gray, filter efficiency and restriction are not affected.
R2C Sportsman Series filters are cleaned with compressed air only and are not to be washed.
Hard to tell from the picture if the grey area is dust or just shadow. I would try cleaning with compressed air first before even looking for replacements. If you are truly set on getting a new pair, then start calling the vendors. Pretty sure they should be able to help you but I doubt they will be cheap
In that case I would think it's best to look in the classifieds section and revert to OEM stock intake box since you are not into modding. It's not too hard to put the stock box back in. Simple hand tools will do.

I'd be knocking on your door this morning if I lived near you.
You've got more equity in your intake than the OEM intake. A 1:1 trade is probably $200 in the other person's favor.
I'd suggest that you go to the classifieds here and find the OEM intakes for sale. They are typically $100 or so. After installing them, clean yours up a bit and sell them for $295 or so.
If you do an even trade, you're leaving money on the table IMHO. That being said, if you don't want to mess with any of the labor, then perhaps you can offer someone a trade where they do all the swap-out labor, and then pay only $100 on top of the trade.
