help me decide asap!!!!

Yes its another exhaust question lol. But im kind of a noob so just read ha ha I've been doing my fair share of research (both on the forum and on google) but haven't come across sufficient information/videos/feedback/etc to sway me in either direction so help me out.

Looking at exhausts. I don't care what you think is THE best exhaust for our cars I just wanna know which is the best between these three and why for my 2011 X coupe.

Magnaflow catback
Invidia gemini catback
Tanabe medalion catback

Thanks for your help!!

Well you listed three not "two". I would say option number four, the stock exhaust is best for you.

Since I have none of those I will not pick out of them but I have fast intentions and it sounds like a beast. I have heard the motordyne exhaust and those sound good as well. Search on youtube and you will find lots of videos and combinations and search on this forum for reviews from people that have them. Good luck on your exhaust hunt!

I *can* follow instructions, but what I recommend has a preface.

Basically, there isn't *that* much performance difference between one catback and another. Most catbacks are 2.5" mandrel bent, and have some sort of resonator somewhere down the line. What you're actually paying for is the tone, volume, and build quality. In that aspect, none of the options you mentioned did it for me when I was shopping for an exhaust. In the interest of answering your question, I would recommend the Tanabe, but as an axleback. By most accounts, the sound is deep and satisfying, and the build quality is decent. It's a rather easy install, and goes well when paired with a set of high flow catalytic converters.

I've searched a lot believe it or not. clip after clip, post after post, but i see a lot of love for Ark and gthaus and although however nice of an exhaust they are, I honestly dont want to spend 2k on an exhaust. lol I've heard some (not much) good things about these so i figured since these were in my price range I'd get the forums opinions.

I figured I wasnt going to get much HP and what not from a catback. but like many of us, It's that tone and "growl" that we like. we all want moar roar lol I know it's hard to add a crap ton of HP with basic add ons to our g37s. and I'm under infiniti's elite warrenty for 120k miles so I'm not going to mod the hell out of my car anyways so paying alot for any mod just doesnt make sense to me.

thanks for the info though. i was looking into a good hfc btw. thanks.

My question is why do you "HAVE" to decide ASAP? When ever I buy something for my car I have done my research and know what I am going to buy. I don't listen to people on the web. You need to hear them in person, not on youtube. You need to see them in person not photos. So I am of the opinion you need to stick with your stock exhaust untill "you" figure it out. On my Z I ran an exhaust for 3 years and 40k miles that people on the Z forums frown on. I loved the sound of it and the quality was fine for my use and it was in my price range. Fit all of my needs, not some key board jocky's needs on the internet.

I say ASAP because I have the opportunity to purchase these for a lot less than any other site but there are limited quantities thus the need for thoughts and opinions "ASAP" and because I just recently bought my G i'm new to this.

From: Framingham Ma,
my neither post

Was just saying there are tons of exhaust out there and why just these 3?, ARK, FI, Exoctic Speed( Best sound IMO, and selling it), Stillen, Was more curious why just those? I've heard all of those in person and wasn't that impressed. I know to each their own but there are more choices man.

Don't make your purchase strickly a price thing , Might not work out the best, then you have to sell it and look for some thing else.

+1
I would rather pay say $200 more for an exhaust that I'm going to love rather than a cheap one that's "ok". not saying those are cheap just an example

I have axle back tanabes with 12'' vibrant resonators and love the sound.but if i had to do over, i would probably go with the ARK exhaust, since i almost spent that with what i have done so far ( about $900 )

tanabes are to quiet for me personally with out the vibrant resonators
