WTF kind of water are these guys driving threw? My intakes are just as low on my car and I don't have an issue. but then again I would never drive my car even stock threw 1 foot of standing water. Sometimes stupid just wins out i guess.

the only way you will get water to get sucked up is if it is fully submerged. my cousin had a s200 and the intake was pretty much sticking out of the car and he drove it as a daily driver even when it was raining hard and never had any problems. i have the injen CAI and its my daily driver and ive never had any problems because i NEVER drive through puddles!

This is your only solution, get the shield. i have put on 3k miles on the intakes so far, been drive throught heavy rains, car wash ect. never had a single problem.
