Need opinions

I was looking at the megan racing axelback exhaust, but seeing as its on backorder, i was thinking about the tanabe medalion, does anyone have any info on it, maybe the difference between the two? I need a lil help here thanks for everything...

Well those are both axel back exhausts.. The Tanabe sounds way better then the Megan exhaust.. If you decide to go with a full catback exhaust.. MXP will probably be the winner among most members here.. People that have MXP can vouch for the exotic sound it produces...

Well there is a significant price difference between the two of them with the Tanabes being more expensive. I would go with the Tanabes personally.

Tanabes are loud in the cabin. Maybe not too loud for your preferences but much louder than stock.

I think Tanabe is the way to go if those are the only 2 exhausts you are considering.

I've had megan. I loved the way it sounded. The tips were a good size also. I just recently sold it because I wanted something louder and more power.

I originally bought the megan for sound purposes. And it gave a great stock sound but louder. Its a great exhaust. I've had compliments on it. Its a lower brand but its worth the money for mufflers. $400 for the megans that sound great + Ti tips (I like them) or you can shell out 500 for a used tanabe or 800 for a new one.. its a axle back. no real power gains except sound. After I sold the megan i was going to go with tanabe + y pipe for louder. But it would be a waste because i would want a full CB system.

So, if your going for strictly sound. Go for megan. Best for your buck. But if you want dual canisters they look sexy, but its gonna cost some bucks lol. And i'm pretty sure the tanabes is a lil louder than the megan. But the megan has volume, where as the tanabe adds more deepness as people say.

Getting the Gemini!

If you get a Stillen catback exhaust (not crazy loud or rice sounding) Stillen is added their Gen3 CAI for free. Great deal.

Too bad they didn't have that when I got my Stillen exhaust.

Good deal.

My dad wants to do something for the exhaust sound on his 09 G37 coupe. He said it sounds hollow at low rpm (take off) and he hates it. Guess he would prefer a deeper sound. I was looking at some threads here and thought the Invidia Gemini and Greddy SE would be a good fit; possibly even HKS. Tanabe seems to be loud in cabin and I know they won't like that. I also saw good reviews for Fast Intentions, MXP, and AAM but those seem to be louder. So what would be a good fit for non hollow sound, not too loud in cabin, and no drone? Again this is for a 50+ father/mother that will keep everything else stock. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm not sure you could have described the goals of the STILLEN exhaust much better..

1. Proven Performance (dyno verified)
2. Deeper, more aggressive tone not losing the factory sound when pushed
3. Zero cabin-drone on cruise

Thanks! I sent some info and links from your site to my dad. Any pics or more detail of the required enlarging the holes through the front core support for the intake? Not sure if they would do that if this is very visible.
