Need Opinion on Used Blizzak Winter Tires

Hey guys, I found a pretty good craigslist deal on a set of Blizzak LM-60 winter tires. They're about an hour and a half ride for me but the seller sent me pics. Do you think these tires are still good? I'm not sure of the treadwear. They look a little worn and it looks like he drew a line down the middle to make them look new. Just need some opinions before I bite the bullet.

Ask for a picture of the tire identification number on the tires. The last 4 digits of the number tell you the week and year they were made. 3514 would be the 35th week of 2014. If they are older than two years, I would pass. As snow tires get older they become harder, less pliable, and the tread does not flex as much giving less traction. Hard to tell how they are worn with only one small close up on one tire

I passed on this deal. After doing research I found that Blizzaks need at least a 6/32" tread depth to be effective in the snow. The pictures didn't look like they had that. They are still up on the Long Island Craigslist if anyone was interested. They come with G35 Coupe OEM 18" wheels.

Good move. It was hard to tell from the pics, but they did look worn and that will make a huge difference in how they handle in the snow

Tires lose their wet/all season ability pretty fast around 5/32. That tire new should have started at 11/32 so probably good passing if they were that worn.
