LMAO Yesss... I've been helping them out developing an intake for the 6th Gen Maxima. I live close by, and have visited them several times... even had a tour of their factory...

So, have you decided yet, OP? It's really easy... save up enough for both intake and exhaust at the same time!

Impressions? When they really get the ball rolling with the aftermarket scene, they will be the best, hands down. Their limited products they have now, IMO, are the best... they just need time to really break into the scene.

Nobody knows their stuff as well as these guys do!

Question on CAI's... When I put one on my Mustang, I had to have it dynotuned, otherwise it would run lean with the increased airflow from the intake.

Do you have to retune the G37, or is the computer smart enough to account for the increased airflow without requiring a tune?

Thanks!

The computer is very smart in the sense that it will restrict the mix and how much power you end up putting down. That's why a lot of manufacturers have no luck with their intakes. But with that said, there are ones that will throw AF out of whack and cause you to run lean. I can think of 1 that keeps very close to AF so you don't need a tune. Another that I've heard throws AF out of range and runs lean.

Test pipes replace the catalytic converters which will obviously cause some problems come smog check time. Installing them will result in a "rich" smelling exhaust. I've heard some say that it makes the exhaust sound raspy. Best thing to do is listen to a car that has them in person, then decide for yourself.

FWIW, I'd vote for exhaust work first.
