Cold Air Intake or Exhaust?
Hi guys, im looking to get either a CAI or exhaust. I'm looking for performance first, sound second and MPG last. Looking at the Injen or Stillen air intakes and I have a guy who is very good at custom exhausts. Let me know what you think ASAP because i am making decision soon. Thanks

I have asked the same question myself. You will need to do both, if you one. I have been bitten by the Mod-Bug, so if you do one, you'll do more. The intakes and exhausts are ways to personalize your car's tone. That's just as important as the wheels and tint, IMO.

You're looking for performance first? Get the exhaust.

Thanks guys...I know what you mean about once you start you cant stop. I had a sierra denali pick up truck and went absolutly nuts on it with CAI, exhaust, headers, chip and spacer. Was amazing but when I sold the truck I didnt get anything back in return. The g37 is a lease instead of a buy and I dont rly want to make the same mistake by doing too much **** then seeing my money lost because i like changing cars about every year. Right now im leaning more towards exhaust but im hearing different things about performance of exhaust vs air intake...can you guys let me know what you think adds the most performance. thanks again.

I bet you will keep this car for more than a year...
I'd get an R2c intake, and save the stock intakes... and awhile later, get an exhaust... and save the stock exhaust too. When it comes time to get yourself into a new car, re-install all the stock stuff, and sell the aftermarket intake/exhaust on the boards..
