I got the intakes in. They sound great...One small problem. I dropped my 10mm wrench in the resonator box while tightening the mount. Is there a way to get to the resonator box without taking the bumper off. I don't really want to take it off, I think a new craftsman wrench is only like $5, don't really know if it's worth the hassle. I didn't notice any rattle from the wrench in the box while driving.

Quick question regarding the hoses from the motor. I didn't use the one supplied that shows to go on the passenger side, as I was able to use the one on the car. I did the same for the drivers side. My question is on the drivers side the picture doesn't show the hose connected to the intake tube. Does this need to be connected or not? I did everything else like shown and went for a test drive. Very impressed with sound and performance. Along with the grounding wires I am happy so far.

Thanks for the help with my question.

Yes, both intake tubes should be connected to the crank case hoses.

I installed these the other day and didn't use the long hose either, I was able to fit the tubes on the car into the intake. I do notice that the passenger side heat shield sits a little higher than on the driver side, anyone else notice this or is this a flaw in my DIY skills?

There is a tendency for the passenger side to sit higher however you can get it to be the same height by keeping the rings at the throttle body loose, adjusting the heat shield to the desired height which should be flush with the hood line and then sinching the rings at the throttle body. The L bracket facing down I believe gives you more play in lowering it. Be careful not to let it get too high or you'll puncture the hood liner.

I purchasd my car in march, and I just installed these. The change is to the moon & back. It's more than just sound,HP & Torque numbers. The initial hesitation in acceleration is nearly gone. Responsiveness in every gear is way up. All these are attributed to the short ram design. CAI's tend to give you more up top, but in daily driving who's reving to 7k? Plus the power band in every dyno out there shows this intake being better suited for midrange. I wouldn't change it...unless there's a R2C Version 2.0 to be released.
