Battery Removal

Sorry if this is a repeat. I did a search and nothing came up. Is there a trick to removing the battery in a 2010 G37x? There isn't enough room to get it out with the fuse and positive cable in the way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It is so cold out my fingers can't take a long time in it.

The reason I am asking is that the battery was dead this morning and I looked at it when I got home and it has ice in it. I didn't know they still built batteries where you add distilled water. Is the battery ruined?

When it was time to replace the battery on my previous 06 G35 I checked prices with the dealer parts department and found the dealer was about $10 higher than a few other places.
I had my battery replaced at the dealer with a 700 CCA battery and everything worked when they were done.
They also washed and vacuumed my vehicle so it was cleaner than when I dropped it off.

If you have AAA just have it towed

Well it started snowing again here as I was out trying to get the battery out this morning so I threw the towel in. I called Infiniti Roadside and had it towed to the dealership. Of course for some odd reason when it was going up on the flatbed the driver window opened about 2 inches and wouldn't go back up. I can't seem to win. 2 days ago I had a water pipe break in the 2nd floor master bath.

Has anyone used a battery tender on their cars? If so, any particular brand?

Yeah, I've got a tender made by Soneil of Canada and sold under several names including "battery defender" for about $50 on Amazon. I use it if I need to leave town for a month or more. It keeps things topped up and saves all those presets.
