Hi, I would like to you some feedback on where this mystery 2.5 ft. rubber weatherstrip belongs to. To summarize, I got our old window tint removed from the rear windows and added the 15% llumar. In the process, the tint installer removed my backseats. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, I find a 2.5 ft. rubber weatherstrip sitting loose in the trunk.

Any ideas? I tried fitting the weatherstrip in the pass-through trunk opening on both sides.

Does the weatherstrip go here?


It fits very well but I don't get the confirming plastic click when I close the pass-through trunk door.


I want to see if there is a quick fix that I can do before I go back to the installer as a last resort. It's one hour drive away.

thats exactly where it goes!!! maybe try fliping it, but that stripping is for exactly where you have it
