Hello All,

So just picked up my 37x sport and i do love the car, im coming off an 06 35x so it was easy to get right into the new model. I do have a few q's. Car is at about 1000km, and has already had some strange things go on with it. Since day 1 i notice that when the car goes over particularly hard bumps the suspension (from what i can hear) in the back clanks a bit. I dont think its anything in the trunk, (ie: safety kit etc) so im not sure if i should have them look at it. Another small issue is the stereo would not come on for about ten minutes after i parked the car and went to drive home from work. This has only happened once and is not an issue if it doesnt happen again obviously, just wondering if others experienced this. Finally, the most prevalent is that under heavier acceleration (so the engine flexes) the car (engine) sounds like its hitting the heat shield. It does this in park, and on the road. I have a feeling it may be just that, a loose heat shield. If anyone can shed light on these i know they are pretty trivial but i thought i would ask either way. Thanks guys

I had that too but thought it was something in the trunk as well, no heat shield troubles though

 

hmmm strange... what fixed the suspension issue? you said you had that as well?

 

I have that too on a '09 G37x coupe. A metallic clang or clunk from the rear when going over bumps but I can only hear it when the windows are open. Will mention it when it goes in for the first service.
