What was the last oil filter that you put on any car that you've ever owned that did leak? It's just an OEM oil filter; nothing more, nothing less. I'm not going to rekindle the debate as to which oil filter is best becasue everyone has their own opinion. But you most certainly do not need to go to a dealer to get an oil change. You can do it yourself, take it to a reputable local oil change facility, or even a Nissan dealership. All of those will be cheaper than paying an Infiniti dealer to change it.

Mr. Service Manager is trying to "scare" you into doing business with him. That would insult my intelligence and leave a bad taste in my mouth regarding that dealership's service department.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly.

I always went a Castrol gtx shop and I'll continue to go there.

How are the folks at Lokey Infiniti? I will be working out of the Clearwater Airport all week and may get my 15K service done.
