I put it in reverse and floor it. Things go by REALLY quick in that camera.

I mainly use it when backing out of the drive way though. Otherwise I turn and look out of habit.

Be carefull using these distance lines on hills, either up or down. Slight hills are not appearent and can fool you. I always look back and check out the area before backing up.

Another thing to watch out for are the corners of your bumper, they are not visible in your rear view cam. So when you back into a parking spot, make sure you don't butt-check the car beside you... always look!

look for it in your manual.

the red/yellow/green with the little dashes in it tells you how far you are from something behind you. as soon as something is within the red lines, that means its 1.5feet or less away.

Does it really matter what the colors mean. You can see your bumper in the NAV display and an object getting closer to your bumper as you back up. What do you think will happen when you see the object hit your bumper on the display. Its not a video game. This thread serves no purpose
