Trying to find the name of these aftermarket wheels

Hello,

I bought an 09 G37x Sedan (black obsidian, 76,000 miles) about six months ago and want to get some new wheels (and tires) for it. I took a couple screenshots of these wheels that I saw and really liked on a video on YouTube of a modified G37 (attached), but despite looking endlessly for the video again to write down the name/specs of the wheels, I have not been able to find it (the uploader may have taken the video down). I know this question is not necessary a G37 specific one, but I was curious if anyone on this forum may know the names of these wheels and/or have any information on them. I am also curious what sizes people think the wheels and tires look to be (pardon the image quality not being the best/sharpest).

Thanks for any info or input.

Find some big wheel companies from California and email them. They might know

I would start off searching using Google Lens. Right click on the photo, select Search with Google, and edit the outline of the photo to be the wheel.

When I spoke to someone at a Nissan Service Center about it (where I bring my G37 for service), he said that 20s may be too big, and if people are sitting in the back seat, their weight may cause that part of the car to hit the tops of the tires. I may see if another website has them in 19s, as that is the size I was looking for. Much appreciated.

Sorry. 18 or 20. https://enkei.com/shop/wheels/performance/lusso/ That guy at your service center doesn't know what they are talking about because the tire would get thinner as the wheel size increased. The picture you posted is the 20 inch. Can tell because I have 19 inch wheels and their tires are thinner than mine. If you live where the roads are rough get the 18. 20 if all your roads are smooth as glass. Get from TireRack because they'll send everything you need to install the wheel such as the cetering rings and lug nuts.

Great to know. The roads in my area of the northeast are pretty rough, so I guess I will go with 18s. Glad that TireRack includes the installation items.

Just a tip. The last time I got wheels from them they sent rings that were held in place by a little circular spring but it would get knocked loose sometimes when installing the wheel which would lead to vibrations. Plus sometimes techs don't be paying attention and they lose them. I found it better to just superglue the rings in place.

Cool. Another question. I am trying to make it so that the outside of the wheels/tires are perfectly in line with the body of the car (i.e., not jutting out a little bit past the body as I have seen on some modified G37s, or set a little bit back into the wheel well as my wheels/tires currently are now). Does it matter which rim width, inset, pattern, and/or bore I go with for the 18s in order to achieve this "alignment" goal?

You're limited to the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. When you put your car info into Tirerack they are going to give you the 8 inch wide ones front and rear because you are AWD. If you put in the Journey it gives you 8 inch up front and 9 inches in the rear. I have 8.5 inch wide front tires and when I put 15mm, a little over half a inch, spacers up front it made the tires stick out just enough where it would sling debris on the side of my car. Plus it made the steering heavier. I guess you could call them and ask to speak to a wheel expert to see what they say.

Negative. I was wavering between doing the mods or selling/trading in the car for something newer. I am actually still leaning toward the former. If I end up doing the mods such as the tires and wheels, I'll upload some pics. I wouldn't wait patiently for them though haha.

Update: I went to talk to one of the more high-end auto performance/modification shops in my area about ordering the 18" Enkei wheels, making sure that I was getting the right width, offset, etc. (so that the wheels and tires would align with the fenders; I know mummy2 already gave some info on this), and receiving a quote for the installation. The meeting did not go well. Here it what the guy told me:

-That if I want wheels to align with the fenders of the car, they need to be 9" in width and have a 20 to 25mm offset. He said that these Enkei wheels do not come in this width and offset, and that the current 8" by +42mm offset will have the wheels and tires be an inch inside the fenders. He then checked with his some of his wheel distributors about the availability of similar looking wheels (i.e., ones that are black with chrome lip) and said that there are none available of this style with this width and offset (9" with 20 to 25mm offset).

-He said that spacers could be used to rectify the issue of the Enkei wheels (8" and +42mm) not aligning with the fenders. However, he said that his shop doesn't like to use spacers, because if one breaks, then the wheel has to be removed to fix it (this does not seem like a huge issue to me, so I'm not sure why he was basically unwilling to consider it)

-As for getting the 20" Enkeis, they only seem to come in 8.5" width and +40mm offset, so it seems that, like the 18"s, they will not align with the fenders either (unless spacers are used). When he looked at the above picture of the Infiniti with the 20"s, he said something along the lines of these wheels being custom made and that they would have cost around $8,000 (??). I did not understand this part at all, since the set of four on Tire Rack is only $1,300 total. He also mentioned that a "coil over" must have been used to lower that car and/or provide enough space between the fends and tires (I think; not sure about this part either).

He said other stuff too that I did not quite get, as I have never done any modifications before. These included needing to "stretch the tires" and "roll the fenders" so that the tires do not rub against the fenders (?) when turning.

In short, here is my question following all of this: Is there any harm in me just ordering the 18" Enkeis with the 8" widths and +42mm offsets and bringing them to a different shop that is willing to put in spacers (one that are approx. 25mm, I assume, which is roughly equivalent to the 1 inch that is needed to bring the wheels and tires in line with the fenders)? That seems to me like a much better option than dropping many thousands of dollars at the place that I went to today on different wheels (and tires) that I'm not sure if I would even like as much.

Just order the wheels with tires from Tire Rack and they will already be mounted and balanced and ready to be put on. No need to worry about needing to roll fenders or anything. Have them delivered to your house and you can do it yourself or you can have them delivered to one of their recommended shops so they can do it for you. Just buy a cheap 20 mm and a 25 mm spacer from ebay or Amazon just so you can do a test fit to see which one you like the best. When you decide which one you like then buy a hubcentric set with the studs built into the spacer. When you buy from Tire Rack and enter your car info they take all the guess work out of it.
