Question Rev limiter

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the rev limiter when you are in Park or Neutral.
I was told multiple ways that it can possibly be turned off for example putting your car in between reverse and park and reving ( which i am highly skeptical about for obvious reasons) and taking out a certain chip from the ecu although I can’t really seem to find anything about it online.

Would anyone know a way to possibly do this or have any insight on if it is damaging to there car itself. I understand that reving to redline constantly is damaging, but the 4.5-5k rev-limiter for the car i feel like is sort of low for me personally.
My other worries is that it would mess up the automatic rev limiter when i am actually driving and not in park but then again I’m not completely sure. ( 2013 g37x sedan Auto)

Thank you in advance and i appreciate all the insight and help i can receive!!

I'm tuned and tuning helps does this. I would suggest you get a tune to be able to do this. When I've wanted to do this it's been for entertainment purposes and in all reality it's not worth the hype.

There is literally zero reason to do it. There is a very good reason the lower Rev limit in park and neutral exists.

Why the need to rev the engine higher than 4,000 RPM in park/neutral?

Maybe we should combine this thread with the flame thrower one. Both seem to be on the same path to destroying their cars....
