Just throwing my 2 cents into the mix regarding springs.
Any set of springs will require at least some sort of camber adjustment. The X sedan is a bit different than the rwd version. Eibach springs for the X dont give as even of a drop, and the car looks like its not sitting even on the ground. Tein, I personally found waaaaaaaaay too soft and definitely not for any serious spirited driving. With swifts, you get the most even drop, and ride quality most comparable to stock. I have 0 issues with snow in the winter and I'm on swifts.
One thing to consider, being an awd sedan, that price tag is much, much higher than you think. Front spring install will take a good shop around 2-4 hours vs a coilover install that will be closer to the 1-2 hour mark. Considering the going rates, that's an extra few hundred you have to keep in mind.
As for camber adjustment, most people with the X get away with no adjustment upfront (myself included @ -2.3/-2.4). I did end up getting rear camber arms, but if I didn't track the car or drive spiritedly from time to time, there may not have been as big of a need to do that. Pre arms, I was at similar -2.5 specs to the front.
Also, not sure where you found that crazy pricing. Go to Touge Tuning, they're an official distributor for swift. https://tougetuning.com/shop/swift-s...i-g37-x-sedan/ usually around the 450-460 mark. Theyre in Mississauga, so if youre in Ontario, can even do a pick up.
To support Rochesters 'dont do open spokes' comment, here is an old pic of my sedan after swift springs (with mad camber) on tiny brakes and thin spokes. Don't do what Hexotic did

In other words, don't do open spoke wheels with non-sport brakes. However, if you do, then don't ever, ever paint your non-sport brakes red.
Thanks for the tips man! Appreciate it. Yeah ive been trying hard to find swifts in canada, but it seems like no ones got any. Just got an email where i bought them from saying they had no stock, and it would take about a month or two to get them in.
I was going to proceed, but i put a WANTED ad in the local classified, and someone about 10 min away from me has swifts he used for 2 months, and swapped em for coilovers.
So im hoping to grab them on the long weekend as hes away for a while.
Lets see what happens!
Just wish someone had a midnight grille lying around like that too! Lol
I am the proud new owner of a 2010 G37x sedan. Just picked er up with 77k kms or around 47k miles on it. Now, im starting to mod it, slowly but surely, and my mod list is as follows so far:
HKS hipower exhaust (on its way)
Yellow fog light bulbs
Painting headlight bezels satin black
Midnight grille (if i can get one)
upgrading to 18 inch wheels and tires
Blacked out tail lights (and badges eventually)
Possibly lowering
You're going to REALLY LOVE the car once you "fix" all the annoying things. I think lowering the car on Swifts (with a SPL rear camber kit because I think you'll almost always need it no matter what springs you choose), getting tints, getting wider and better tires/wheels (with appropriate offsets), upgrading the front & rear sway bars, high flow catalytic converters, and ultimately an ECUTEK tune are a must to improve literally everything about the car.
Here's my 2010 G37xS Anniversary Edition lowered with the ever-elusive IMPUL Sport Springs on KYB-GR2's. Wheels are SSR GTV02 18x9 +45 offset with 20 mm H&R spacers all around, and tires are 255/45/18 BF Goodrich Comp-2 A/S:
The car has literally become my favorite car I've ever owned/driven. I can't image how much better it would ride, too, on proper Summer tires. Best of luck with the mods that you decide to do, but I think if you do all the things I mentioned at the bare minimum you will have such a fun experience with this car!

Thanks man!!! Nice ride!! Appreciate the response!
Yup mods are on the way as the budget allows for haha.
Just got my Hks exhaust last night and just put er on. I'm already starting to love it more now!
The one thing i hated going from my 2006 to this is how the 06 was more nimble, easier handling, and easier to zip around town.
The 7spd doesnt allow for that as far as ive seen. But this one is MUCH nicer on the highway and the interior is a big improvement. I love the exterior as well.
Once i get the swifts on i imagine ill be loving the car more. We'll see how the alignment is aftwewards, i imagine ill be investing in a camber kit down the road anyways.

Thanks again!
Since you put the new exhaust on, and you lack the nimbleness lol, disconnect your battery for like 15 minutes. Reset your windows, seats, mirrors. The tcm will also be back in learning mode. Start driving in manual mode, spiritedly. The car will get used to that driving style after a bit and it will be — while not anything amazing — noticeably more responsive. Grounding kit with ground throttle bodies helps the 7AT a tiny little bit. If you do this, make sure you're not grounding to the negative terminal of the battery, but to the piece of metal that cable from the neg terminal is attached to, before the current sensor. Otherwise, you'll very slowly kill your battery.
Edit: to reset your windows, roll each window down all the way. Pull the windows up and continue to hold the buttons up for 10-15 seconds after the windows go up. That's it, they'll go back to being automatic. You can do all 4 at once.

Cool. I did this kind of reset on an e class benz i had a few years ago and it made the trans shift smoother. I might just give it a shot! The car was owned by an old lady since new before i got it, so im assuming it NEVER saw spirited driving lol.

The exhaust looks great!
You know, that’s a good point you make. I missed that, too, BADLY when I first switched from my 2004 5AT G35. The G37x is significantly heavier and just felt overall sloppier in stock form.
All the mods I mentioned above, plus the ECUTEK tune, has now got this car driving and handling FAR better than my G35 ever did.

Yeah, and this transmission is weird. Because it's not exactly a typical slushbox automatic, it behaves a little different. Once you get used to where the power band is and where the little pitfalls in the shifting map are, this actually becomes a really capable transmission. Does get hot though if you track it. Benefits from a cooler.
