Backseat baby mirror suggestions

Hey everyone,

New dad here. Just got done installing the baby seat in the car, went to install a mirror on the headrest, and realized I had never really taken a look at my rear seat headrests before to realize that they aren't adjustable and just mold into the seat. Does anyone have any recommendations on mirrors for the back seat so I can take a look at my baby while I drive? Any fellow moms or dads here use a mirror in their car?

Thanks,
Andrew

How did you get that to mount, since we don't have actual headrests??

I went through 2 rear facing kids without a mirror.

Looks similar to the one I purchased. http://a.co/fSM08Fw

My problem was the straps didn't really seem to securely hold the mirror to the headrest since it kind of slopes back to the rear window. I'd be afraid that it would slip down and hit my kid if I hit a bump in the road or something.

I'm in the same boat here, I was thinking about modifying my mirror and adding some velcro to the straps that will allow me to attach the mirror the rear deck. Following for other suggestions though.

Sorry I wasn't clear at all-I have it mounted it in my wife's car, a Honda civic... I missed the part about difficulty with our cars... I have the same one for my car but never bothered to install it... I honestly havent thought it might not be compatible...its been sitting for months dont even think i can return it if it doesnt fit

Yeah the mount/base looks the same as mine .. Oh man looks like im in the same boat if i try to mount it... Im thinking popping the back seat out or somthing and slipping the straps inbetween the seatback and the parcel shelf...

I couldn't figure out a way to mount a mirror, and I was afraid that any way i rigged it wouldn't be safe and it would fall out and hurt her. I've gone through 2 rear facing kids in my car with no mirror. It's so nice now that they can buckle themselves in. I should be able to move from 5 point to boosters soon. My almost 7 year old is only 36 pounds, so 4 to go

My 2 cents.....skip it. The baby will be fine and it won't be long before you're front facing

This has been my inclination towards it ... which is why I've been so lazy about it...technically we could go front facing already but I thought I read somewhere that if possible prolonging rear facing is safer....either way, hes either babbling/yelling or quiet cause hes asleep or staring out the window and its not like he's going anywhere with all the buckles and straps on....also my seat is so far back his head is almost beside me ... so yeah it may not get installed at all if it ends up being a pain .... I do appreciate having it when I drive my wife car, not cause we need it, but its nice to glance at the little guy when stuck in traffic..just brightens up the day
