Backseat on the sedans, legroom, etc.

I sat in the new 3 series sedan. Back seat was pretty disappointing. Comfortable seats but the leg room was just horrible. Back seats on the Acura TL are just amazing. I'm 6'1" 205lbs. Long thick legs...

I know most of you would respond with the "who cares as long as I'm comfortable in the front" or somewhere along those lines.
But in all honesty, are the back seats on the Sedan good or bad?
Can three grown men sit back there comfortably?
Leg room sufficient or do they need to make leg room more available. Any thoughts or input is always appreciated.
Any complaints you guys received or have towards the back seats?
Anyone get asked frequently if you can move your seat up from the front for the people in the back?

thanks,
James

edit: also can you guys add pics of the back seats with your front seats adjusted to your normal specifications. I just want to have a clear visual as to how much leg room guests can really have in the back.

Question is...were you back there with them?

I have a sedan as well, nobody who's ridden in back has ever complained. There seems to be ample leg and head room. I've never had anyone really tall sit back there, though. And whoever sits in the middle will have to deal with the "hump" (probably not an issue with the TL since it's FWD (blech)).

For me, no complaints from large co-workers to and from lunch. As a matter of fact, they always want me to drive.

I'm 6'3" (6'4" in good days :P) and there is no room for an adult behind me. Even my 5 year old on his child seat has issues with fitting his feet between the back of my seat and the front of the back seat. Highly disappointed in that tbh. And no, I'm not in my most comfortable position either.

My 06 maxima had A LOT more space at the back than the G.
I don't know what I am going to do when he grows up a bit more.

Stratos.-

Completely agree. I'm the same height and have had 3 passengers before and I need to move my seat up a bit so someone can fit behind me.

Haven't even tried for 3 in the back seat - given the hump and the already small legroom for the passenger behind me, I have to imagine sitting b*tch would be absolutely miserable in the G.

The backseats are fine for (not-so-big: 6' or under) adults. That's the reason why I picked the G over the IS350.

Yes behind my 6'5" **** there is no room either, but that would be case in any car other than a 750iL, A8L, S550, etc. The wheel base is 112". You cannot get Crown Vic room in a car that has a 112" wheelbase. The Maxima has a 116" wheelbase. That 4 inches matters, especially in the interior. People also have to remember that this is not a different version of the Maxima, it's a totally different car. I know it has four doors and most of us like the availability of four doors, but its a four door sports car not a passager van. It can hold (in my case 3 people) 4 people under 6' quite comfortabily. The back seat in the G is more useful than in the 335i, which was referred to as a leather briefcase holder in one review I read.

When it comes to space (front or rear) Acura TL > G37 sedan >> 335i

Yes 3 people can sit in the back. No I would not want to for more than 30 minutes. Get an M35 for that.
