What vehicle will be a worthy replacement for your sedan when it is time?
That looks like fun. It was just yesterday morning that I was watching an EverydayDriver episode when they took a Jeep off-roading.
Car looks naked without that step plate to bring the fenders together.

Just for clarification...
Two years ago at 32-34k miles my car was in the $20-22k range. I'm under no delusion that it's anywhere near that now. My car is worth $10-12k at most in its current state.
Carry on.

Jsolo, probably nothing serious until Summer, but that looks like a great stretch on that Colorado trip, love Colorado 4 wheeling~!

That Jeep just went from "rental car" to "off-road warrior." Looks great! How does it drive around town compared to a car? Do you notice a big difference in the way it drives with those wheels and tires? Is the interior a little less "hard plastic heaven" now compared to previous Wranglers? I could use something like that for my drive to work tomorrow. We are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight. That makes a lot more sense. I was confused when you said, "now it's worth $25-$30k."
Nice car! I used to have Suzuki Samurai as an off-road unit! Loved it!!!
Brad, one of my college friends bought a Jeep after graduation. That was 1986, and the big inline-6 is still running strong. It looks like a Jeep that was renovated, but it's actually all original. Kind of odd, particularly for a Northeast car, but true. Solid as a rock, and clean as the day it was made.
Oh hey! His name is also Brad, LOL. You know, I respect the car for what it is, which is a pretty unique vehicle class. And I dig the way it's aged so well. It's not my thing, but it's his and that's cool.
Here's a recent pic, at 135,000 miles. Damn, it's held up well. I once took a 10 hour ride in that car with gear and a canoe on top. Ouch.

He loves his car, and it's in stellar condition regardless of age and miles.

Not by my eye. However, he will be the first to tell you how his '87 Larado was the last year Jeep was Jeep, before being owned and influenced by Chrysler. And while that's true, he conveniently forgets how Jeep was owned by American Motors at the time. But whatever...

Blnewt’s Jeep looks great, and I bet he has ample opportunity in his AO to utilize its capability. I have some friends and relatives that belong to Jeep clubs and they are super active, anywhere from mild to wild b

So just drove the Q50 3.0 for a few hundred miles in florida and came back with conflicted opinions. It was a rental car, but it appeared to not be baseline as it had the safety tech stuff (which is not a default thing). I loved the torque curve so much more than my current G. It was just far better. Gearing appears to be exactly the same, which means it's terrible. 1-3 are short, super long 4th, medium 5 and short 6-7 gears. Engine did not sound as good as the VQ IMO either. Also the entertainment system seems to have been more prohibitive in user controls than good ol' fashioned buttons. It was frustrating and bewildering at the same time.
I really want to just get a RedSport 400 but that god awful entertainment system...good gracious it's terrible.

You can just get the regular 3.0 and tune it and make the same power as a stock Red Sport 400 without paying the $10,000 premium.
