Now that's a solid deal. Tnx.

I think Roch was referring to R2C acting as a middleman to their plating service (for consistency of color?)

I'll ask around, I'm sure there are half a dozen platers in my area.
Keeping in mind the Cusco only cost ~ a buck-fiddy, I wouldn't want to spend too much on the finish.

Exactly.

I don't recall where I read this, but I believe R2C has recently changed their source for plating. So... that ship has probably sailed for me and my 3-4 year old intake midpipes.

Now repost that pic of your new CO's so I can ask my question.

Wow! That's cheaper than powdercoating.

Kenny, you need your own folder just to keep up with all the stuff going on w/ your G. So are you going w/ a Motordyne now & already ditching the ARK?

I would look at new tips as per Johns suggestion, should be able to find some that will fit right at the diffuser in a style you would like.
BTW, do you have your own designated parking space at Fed Ex??

Kenny, the motordyne tips are cheap IMO they are thin metal that get attached by a couple of screws (my only gripe about motordyne). The ARK tips are much sexier and the sound is equally as good.

That might have been one of my posts.
The rep at R2C told me the 5-week delay in my order was due to them changing platers. At least that is what he explained each week it didn't ship as previously promised.

Yeah I realize your post about plating was quite some time ago.(in your excellent setup thread). I do have a question about the R2C install though, does one ditch ALL the crankcase vent valves? The one on the drivers side is still shown in the install photos.

Not digging the different colors... unless that's just me not interpreting a burnt-Ti look.
The ones in my hands went to another part of the engine bay that haven't gotten installed yet. The engine cover ones did high a slightly taller collar for visibility. And I absolutely love the color of the burnt (neo) bolts. Its going to go with my theme perfectly. Dont forget I now have the Malbec Black sedan.....so to get that chameleon affect going. In due time it should all tie together nicely.

Was about to pull the trigger on a full Tein coilover, EDFC setup...but just learned there on back order 6-8 weeks

Have alot of moving parts ATM

6-8 weeks is a long time for Teins if they're straight-up off the shelf.

I just got a set of Fortune 500s. The 4 weeks wait time was okay considering they are custom valved and dyno-ed for each order.
I'll let you know how it goes as an alternative.

No, both are connected to their respective mid-pipes. However, the OEM hoses are better than the ones R2C give you. And the Z1 Motorsports tubes are better than that.

You guys are so mean damnnnnnn lol

I'm doing PNW_IPL a favor and picking up a Motordyne exhaust from NY and shipping to him cross country to Washington state bc I'm an awesome guy! Lol

As for the tips on the Ark they are machine welded to the mufflers so for me to even consider that I'd be spending just as much as I would for an ipl rear bumper to match my front and sides. I'm thinking I'll take off the diffuser and rewrap my current rear for now or just keep on the diffuser until I can splurge some extra funds for an ipl rear.

As for the sound of the Ark I just wasn't used to it the first day but after driving it more it sounds so exotic and beautiful! The Greddy was amazing as well but this is much more subtle. Only thing that hurts my ears is the drone I get sometimes at around 2500 rpm.

Can I see a picture of those three, please? In your hand and installed, if you're of a mind to comply. Thanks.

Normally I can't stand burnt-Ti. But you make a compelling argument about Malbec Black. Good for you.

Tnx. I'll have a look at the Z1 vent tubes.

I was thinking about silicone tubes for the intakes and radiator but the ones I saw were insanely priced.

I flipped my R2C intake adapters inside-out. I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

Nice and shiny:

Smart thinking, zilla. I don't think that ever occurred to me.

I'm using HPS couplers. Love the color at the cut.
