That's correct. Actually took a picture of that the first time I did it.

Whenever I remove that panel, I put the bolts in a dish and spray them with penetrating oil. They corrode pretty bad over the years.

I'm not as worried about the mileage as I used to be. Everyone tells me "the car isn't going to be worth much once you sell it". I bought the car to drive it, and thats exactly what I'm doing. I've saved nearly $2,000 in flights by driving back to NJ instead of flying. I'm making sure I get my money's worth. I think gas is the most annoying expense, but who bought a G37 to be economical? Plus, over out of the military next year so I won't be driving back and forth between NC and NJ anymore. I'll probably only be putting ~8,000 miles a year on the car after that. (Not counting the 8 months I won't be driving my car)

What year is your car? I have a 2012 and only have to remove 2 screws to open up a flap for the oil filter I believe. Drain plug is already accessible.

I have the flap as well. I recall some models don't. Some guys, even with the flap prefer to remove the whole guard because on filter removal, i get splashes all over the inside of the tray that slowly make their way to the garage floor in unpredictable ways. I usually just throw a flattened cardboard box under the car and leave it there for the night.

I did as well. It's great!! Except it's a LOT louder than the OEM one when a stone or speed bump contacts it. It sounds like a dinner gong...well, everything sounds like a dinner gong to me...

Yep, and I got the nice license plate frame too. LOL.

Put some undercoating on it. I had to on my replacement steel door I made. I don't like the aluminum look on the bottom.

I use the access flap on my 2012. I also have the EZ oil drain Valve for dumping the old oil No issues with my first winter having the EZ oil drain valve. Will be changing my oil once I get my 5qt Pennzoil Ultra delivered from Walmart....got it for $25

Hopefully, (fingers crossed) me and my mechanic are the only ones who see it. LOL. Because if you can see it, I have bigger issues than the aluminum look...
