I would suggest wiping it all down after spraying, though.

I also cleaned my dash with WD-40 and applied D3 RENEW PROTECT because I noticed my dash gets sticky when left in the sun (even through ceramic tint).

(Those of you who are cultured will appreciate something extra, but at least one mod won't appreciate it, lol.)

I detail my car all the time, but I detailed it on April 25th for a road trip I was going to take.

The car also lied to me about the MPG during my trip. I reset the fuel economy when washing the car the day before, and it claimed I had 29.8 MPG on E85. I calculated the fuele economy myself and it was 20.8 MPG...

Before leaving for my road trip, I changed my oil. After getting back, I received the latest BlackStone report...

Nice work. I personally would recommend 3D LVP cleaner, would get everything nice and matte for the interior. That is how the interiors come from the factory. Super shiny surfaces usually means they are dirty or have silicone from the cleaning product.

3D LVP Cleaner you can apply a couple ways.

Most effective for steering wheels and tight trim I found is the colourlock foam sponge or a soft detailing brush. Spray the product into the sponge and agitate the surface. When done, can wash and reuse them.

For larger areas I recommend the microfiber sponges, again just spray into the sponge and agitate the surface.

Amazon Amazon

Then once done cleaning, I always try to use a 500 gsm towel that is slightly damp with distilled water to wipe the product residue away, and then another drying towel to wipe the surface dry.

I use to condition leather, but stopped doing it a while ago as it just makes the surface shiny and attract debris. Even products that claim to leave a matte finish, always seem to darken the leather or give it shine. In my experience the LVP cleaner has been the best I have tried. I made a post about it here.

I used it on my Q not too long ago and it cleaned the seats and interior up nice.

Today I had the coolant system flushed, with a new thermostat installed.

And I had the shop swap out my Z1 Motorsports polyurethane transmission mount for the OEM mount. It's been 6 years, and I'm done with the NVH. It was right for me a few years ago, but now I want things toned down a little. This did the trick.

I'll be selling the Z1 mount here on the forum shortly.

I'll keep an eye out for that

I put the stock brakes, wheels, intakes, and suspension back on the 09. I am just waiting for a new Y pipe as the stock one is rusty and has holes in it. Going to continue taking off some small odds and ends today. Once the y pipe comes I will be listing it for sale. I also have some 2.75-inch intakes for sale and am about to list the BBK.

Interesting. That MPG guage is normally pretty accurate. Since E85/ethanol contains less "energy per volume" than gasoline, I recall reading somethere that this translates into ~25% or less miles per gallon, depending on driving habits. Yours is about 30% off. That guage must not be taking into consideration the amount of fuel passing a giving point over a period of time.

i just drove to LA (Woodland Hills) from San Diego, through Irvine with a return trip which exposed me to “rush hour” in LA, OC and San Diego; really warm day as well. I could have flown to Texas in less time than it took me to get home. Entire trip was just a hair under 300 miles, but I still averaged over 25mpg. I don’t understand how many of the folks on the Reddit sub average 8-12.

Got the car back to mostly stock and listed it for sale today. Cleaned the interior and gave it a wash. Still has a full exhaust and tune.

I relocated it behind the grill. I thought it was really ugly lol. You can see the hose going under the plastic cover. I didn't have any issues with it.

Swapped engine covers and installed a Cusco strut tower bar after having the mounting brackets lasered and powder coated. Yea, I know my engine bay needs cleaning.

Today I sold the 2009 G37XS for $9,500. Sad to see it go. I put almost 40k miles on that car in a year and a half. But it's a big relief, it was stressing me out having 2 cars.
I also got a piece of John's legendary car. I bought his trans mount. It looked like it wasn't even installed. That clean. lol On to the 6mt!

Legendary? It's just a car, and I'm just an old suburban dad who's DD turned into a garage queen.

Umm, thank you, Josh. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new mount over in your build thread.
