Wow. Yeah, that's a ton of rust seriously reducing pad contact and eating into your pads. Even your brake line fittings and bracket bolts are heavily rusted. I'm guessing you live somewhere in the snow belt? Almost looks like my Dad's G35 that he bought on a salvage title as a flood vehicle.

I wouldn't worry too much about being too-cold-to-touch in Mooresville, NC, but I suppose heat is a consideration. Also, that looks like a brushed SS surface. With that in mind, if you wear a ring on your right hand, you might want to get into the habit of removing it when driving.

I've got this titanium ring on my right hand, and when I get in the car I remove the ring and drop it into the boot, then put it back on when I get out.

Now that I write that out and read it back... seems kind of a flamboyant ritual, LOL. But I really like the finish on my ti-****, and would hate to scratch it up.

 

You are correct! Brushed SS. No rings... used to wear one on my left hand, but thankfully, got rid of that one

Do y'all think if I debadge the Infiniti and G37x on my car that I'll get a "sunburn" action going?

Car is a 2013 and I've never debadged a car that was older than 1 year. Plus this car is black and its been in Houston weather its whole life.

 

FWIW, I debadged my old G35 coupe (which was 7 years old at the time) and you couldn't tell that there were any badges on there to begin with.

 

Might need to use a mild rubbing compound like Maguairs Ultimate Compound to blend any ghosting, but after that you shouldn't be able to see any difference.

Is there anything like this available for non-Nav models? I know it says the car must have the touch screen, but I would love to be able to use Waze and Spotify through my car.

 

I was planning to do it, and then one of the N's dropped off while driving. Car told me it was time. Used Dental Floss, blow dryer, and polishing compound.

 

Why not ditch the ring instead? Unless its a Super Bowl ring of course.
