I completely feel your pain. I tried doing bluebats vinyl overlay for the chrome finisher on the trunk. Gave up and threw it away after 2 hours with a hairdryer and a pissed off girlfriend (not a good helper).

I used the 3m 1080(?) gloss black and for the little bit of vinyl I did I could've wrapped the d@mn car lol.
Yeah once I have enough material to do it,I am going to do the grille emblem in a matte brown metallic to match my wheels.I got that piece of CF wrap from one of the display cards that a local wrap company gave me at a show.Amazed at all the wrap options out there,including the clear color overlays.
I have my roof and chrome lip ahead of me yet. Thinking about how the door handles would look so I'll do that and post pics for opinions pending how far along I get with other stuff before the winter hits.

On uprev too nonetheless. How's driveability compared to stock? I heard uprev is a little worse when you aren't wide open throttle. Also, how are the shifts? (Assuming 7at)
Definitely! Had about a 35-mile return trip from Dyno-Comp and may or may not have gotten on it a few times.

The combination of the 7-A/T, dual throttle bodies (mine are squeaky clean BTW), and drive-by-wire accelerator pedal has never felt smooth to me on this car. I came from an '05 FX 35 previously. So after the tune, it felt a little more notchy in stop-and-go traffic yesterday. I would describe it as a little sluggish at low speeds. Kind of like whether you're giving it a 1/4 throttle or 1/2 throttle, it seem to just be a bit sluggish. But mash it and it pulls hard all the way to redline. I had the tuner adjust the line pressure on the A/T ever-so-slightly and this seemed to improve the shift feel under hard acceleration. I'm sure this has some tradeoffs for stop-and-go traffic though.

G37_4DR~Thanks for those pics & details w/ that shop, being in Scottsdale, that could be on the way to Vegas and would be a nice stop along the trip. What was the cost for that day at the shop?

Thanks Brad. I checked pricing at ConceptZ Performance, Xact Dyno, UMS Tuning, and Dyno-Comp - all local to me. ConceptZ quoted $550-$700 and could do EcuTek or UpRev, but strongly recommended UpRev. They were booking two weeks out though. Dyno-Comp was also able to do either software, but Richard - the owner and main tuner - also strongly recommended UpRev. They quoted $650 and were booking just a few days out. They have rave reviews and are recognized as a Top 20 Tuner in the US. Richard was very friendly and answered all my questions over the phone. I ultimately went with them, but I spent more than I had anticipated. I paid $775 which included the extra half hour of transmission calibration I asked for. I think I paid more than others have, but at the end of the day, it's an art that a specialist needs to perfect on your specific application and I was happy with the results and the new relationship built with DC. Should I want a 100 octane map programmed in the future, they will be able to set that up for me, but for now, my maps are identical.
Update: I just got a call from Richard to follow-up and make sure I was happy with the car and the results.
Replaced my generic silver tuner lugs with some proper Muteki lugnuts with locks in a nice blue to match the rest of the car Pardon the dirty car... rained yesterday.
