I stuck it in my build thread as to not put in too many places. It's a quick rev. Everything got fabricated and installed today, so it's gonna be a minute before I can get some real videos.
I did some highway pulls to redline, I can already tell you guys are gonna love it. It's very Tomei-esque.
Very nice! Keeping it in the Nissan family! Hope the CVT doesn't take a poop like it's known to in the Altimas. Also, what kind of safety features does it have? I noticed that the 2017 Corolla has a pre-collision mitigation system, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, automatic high beam, and automatic cruise control as standard equipment across all trim levels. Impressive, considering the price point!
Luckily we don't have to worry about the CVT crapping out on us since this little baby is 6MT (oddly, the same price as the CVT).

Wow, adaptive cruise control on a Sentra. I didn't even know they offered that. I didn't even know there was a turbo one. Is it "fast"?
Yeah, new this year. They threw the Juke 1.6 FI DIG motor in a Sentra and beefed up the brakes, suspension, drivetrain, etc. There's a sport setting that snugs up the steering, acceleration and suspension. It actually does work.
However====>
It wouldn't be fast to you....lol. But if you were a junior in HS it might as well be a prepped GT-R.
Went ahead and installed the Takeda SRI I bought off this forum. Thanks HotSawce. Took all of 30-35 minutes to install. Though my expectations weren't high for performance, I did expect to have an awesome growl from under the hood. And as expected it does growl. I must say I'm impressed by the noise above 4K RPM. But alas, that's all it is....a really expensive noisemaker. I'm sure down the road I'll pick up a used CAI to satisfy my need for a few more horses, til then I'll drive with my windows down more often to hear the noisemaker at work.
And a side note: I did add the "heatshield" Takeda provides after this pic was taken.

Yep, that's all it is really. Don't expect any gains from a CAI either. intakes just don't do much on these cars.
Yup, that's the main reason I haven't touched the intakes on my car. Basically spending $300-400 for engine bling and extra noise.
The good thing was I knew this going into it, so I knew I was buying noise and bling. In the end, I smile a little bigger when i get on it and when I change the oil. So it was a win for me.

I felt some nice gains from my CAI. I always debate in my head if they are real and not a placebo but with my exhaust I barely noticed anything, and the CAI felt like a huge upgrade. It could have been my filters were a little dirty, or G35's don't have as good of boxes compared to a 37.
I think that's just placebo lol. Most people are going to associate more sound = more noise.
I mean, the numbers are backed up by dyno results for both the exhaust and intakes. Of course we don't know all the details of how it was tested since the company itself was the one handling all those details.
I do remember seeing one user on here gain 29whp from the Stillen Gen 3. Everyone called out BS but he had a dyno sheet to prove it. I'm not implying that to be just the stillen there had to be more at play but I personally at least think it's a big difference like I said.
