Well, they both look very nice, as far as quality, I guess I'll see how the welds hold up over the next 6 months or so through the next winter. As for the welds, does Ark offer multiple versions of their exhaust? Those pics look like the entire system has been powder coated with a satin silver. I am pretty sure Ive seen a raw polished exhaust of theirs too though. As for the color of the welds on the OBX, does that necessarily mean anything, as far as quality is concerned?

I have yet to decide, but I have though about removing the axleback portion and coating it with a high temp flat black. I do really like how it looks now, but authorities like shiny things... at least based on my previous experiences many years ago with my Hondas. And of course, coating it all black would make it far less noticeable in general, a little more of a sleeper.

I also took a quick vid of a start up and rev. Engine was warm, but it still sounds very nice, IMO. I will get it uploaded soon.

Pretty sure just 1 version for ARK Grip. You can choose what kind of tips you want though. Regular silver or the burnt tips.

I apologize for only skimming through this thread but I wanted to know if anyone has done a custom setup using the MD XYZ pipe and a single to dual muffler similar to the MD E370?

I currently have the FI RHFC and the XYZ pipe + resonator originally was going to pair it with the top speed Y back but still want to make decent power gains any advice would be appreciated.

I used a jones mf2158 muffler that is very similar to the the MD E370.

5x8 oval muffler 14'' long. 2 .5 single inlet, 2.5 dual outlet.

Thanks! Do you happen to have any sound clips of your setup? and did you have resonators or anything after the muffler?

I used to think burnt Ti tips looked exotic and attractive, back when it was a trend that was catching on. But now I think they just look tacky. Feel the same about carbon fiber everywhere.

Maybe a little bit here or there... but not something that's in your face.

For me, I was never a huge fan of the colored tips regardless, thus I always picked SS for both my ARK + Motordyne. But I agree, tacky is an understatement sometimes.

On another note, got my car back from the shop and as soon as they started it, everyone looked and they loved it. One of the employees asked what brand it was, etc. I also think they revved it a few times as my MPG went from 19.2 to 19.0 (hmm I wonder... lol). Overall, Motordyne E370 + Z1 HFC = Smiles everywhere.

For some reason, even though I hadn't been in the car in a month, it seems quieter tho

That sounds really good wish you would have done a fly by or some reving action but that made up my mind...hows the overall volume? Any highway drone?

There is very little drone. None on the highway.

Here's another short clip. Warm start and a couple small revs. The second was to only about 5k. I'll take a coldstart video sometime soon.

Hi, I have a couple questions. I have 2007 G35 Sedan and yes, I know it’s not a G37 but it’s practically the same besides the motor. Anyways, I’m planning to swap out the stock resonators for some 12inch vibrant resonators along with a muffler delete. I don’t know what size the stock pipe size is for the stock system. I would not like to run a different diameter size on my car because of rasp as so I heard. Please lmk soon as I’m already set on running a muffler delete with after market resonators. I just need to know the stock piping.

its like 1.8" or something. but, it gets bigger at the resonator openings up to 2"

I had to use pipe expanders on the inside of the original pipe.

I would suggest pairing the vibrants with Tanabe mufflers rather than a muffler delete though.
