Setup

Here is my current setup: kinetix high flow cars, resonator delete and tanabe mufflers. Sounds ****ing epic! It's not deafening loud but is loud enough to **** the neighbors off lol. I attached a sound clip of a cold start.

My Top Speed Y back is coming in today.

Too bad it's been like 100 degrees with 60% humidity in Texas. I might have a heatstroke installing it this weekend.

Good Luck! If you haven't done so, I'd suggest picking up some permatex liquid gasket : https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...erm=rtv+gasket

My bolts connecting the y-pipe to the mid pipe were welded so I had a shop grind them for me. Had to pick up two bolts and nuts as a result.

Sounded fantastic driving home....(it didn't sound fantastic driving home)

Finally finished my motodyne inspired setup. Fast intentions resonated HFC, Motodyne XYZ pipe w/ resonator, Gibson MWA muffler resonator. Drove around like this for a week and sounded good but between full throttle 3500rpm rasp and the overall volume I added two Borla Pro XS mufflers and it now sounds refined yet aggressive

Hey guys,

recently bought a 2012 g37x sedan. Unfortunately the underside is pretty rusted out so I have to change the exhaust. I am looking to get the top speed y pipe back exhaust but I also need the Y pipe as it's disintegrated. Am I able to combine two different brands such as the top speed exhaust with say a Beluga y pipe? I can also get the Y pipe from top speed but I can save about 100 bucks if I go with Beluga. Parts in question are below:

https://topspeedauto.com/nissan-350z...rmance-y-pipe/

underside:

I have a custom single exit in mind. I will be using the Megan racing y pipe, Vibrant 12” resonators and a HKS hi power muffler. 3 inch piping through out. The y pipe has 2.5 inch inlets that merge into a 3 inch outlet and I plan to use the 12” Vibrant resonator with a 3 inch inlet and outlet followed with the HKS muffler. I don’t think anyone has done this setup but I call it the poor mans Tomei. Sounds no where near like a Tomei but you get the idea.

I haven't, collecting the parts to get my LSD installed. Will definitely get it done then. Will be posting some sound clips soon.

Does anyone have the Top Speed Axle Back Exhaust for the sedan and find that it drones a lot? I expected a little, but not to the degree of rattling my whole car at 3k RPM (probably exaggerated) - I returned it back to stock form immediately after one day of highway driving.

Maybe Tanabes are the way to go for axle backs...

The axle back that's essentially a muffler delete from TopSpeed?

I have the Y back exhaust from TopSpeed for my x sedan and it doesn't drone(to me). You can cruise without hearing it and when you floor it it really comes alive.

Yes, correct. I did get an answer on the review thread for it and I'm not crazy. Shame really being a bolt-on at all; didn't think a muffler delete would be so obnoxious :/
