That's the same setup I run as the "Infiniti" is just too much chrome for me and the Fuji looks better. At least the Fuji and G37S are at the right height together. Rochester just doesn't like it because it is asymmetrical.
That's my reservation with relocating the Fuji--the top is near perfectly aligned with G37S. I suppose I could go with a larger Fuji, but when I compared the two at the local parts department the difference seemed somewhat insignificant. Not enough that an average person, or even an Infiniti enthusiast would notice.
Now, if the JDM Skyline only came with a V8 or some such awesomeness...
Overseas counterparts they are, but technically not identical in every way.
Anyhow with the advent of the V37 Skyline carrying a front Infiniti badge in Japan now I guess one could say the Infiniti Skyline does exist.

I think you are confusing a Skyline GTR with a regular Skyline. It would be similar to comparing a Mercedes C63 AMG and a Mercedes C350. Not all Mercedes C classes are C63s and likewise not all Skylines are GTRs. I think this common misnomer could be one of the reasons why Nissan split the GTR into it's own model with the R35.
Stop thinking about the Skyline GT-R... you couldn't even buy that in the States anyway.
You couldn't buy any new Skyline in the U.S. That's also my point- that the GT-R is the only Skyline people talk about in the U.S. so it makes our cars seem like posers a bit when we put a Skyline badge on it. #thestruggleisreal

It's almost poetic.
Wow, it's official- you have given this way too much thought.

As I mentioned above, most people in the U.S. only think of the GT-R when they hear "Skyline." Very few people hear "C class" and instantly conjure up dreams of C63 AMG's. Nissan split up the Skyline and GT-R names so they could sell 2 cars instead of one. Simple marketing.
I might be wrong but I was under the impression the GT-R is not a Skyline anymore. Yes, it's the next generation of the R34 Skyline GT-R but it is not a Skyline. And when you travel around, you realize the Skyline is not just a GT-R, just like a Lancer EVO is not the only Lancer or the WRX STi is the only WRX. The R34 came with four doors and two, just like the V36.
Anyone else notice that nearly every other car (sedan, at least) mounts the rear plate on the trunk lid rather than the rear bumper like our Gs?
Think that's a big reason why de(re)-badging our cars has become such a thought provoking endeavour (well, for some of us). There's far more "negative" space to work with, compared to most other cars, which makes tweaking things to get the right look a bit tricky.
But a SKYLINE would look just fine on there...I think
@STownSaint: Nailed it! You're right, I'd never noticed the placement of the license plate, but that certainly contributes to the weirdly flat look of the totally-debadged G.
Hmmm... If you Skylined the G, is there a way to make a Nissan badge work on the back? That'd be my wacky American Nippon dream. I'm assuming there's no way to tweak the front grill to accept a hamburger.

You can certainly swap the trunk Fuji for the Nissan burger. That's easy enough to do, if you're so inclined.
IDK about the front grille. On the one hand, the grille Fuji simply unclips from the slats. What I don't know is if the grille itself is identical in both markets, and you can swap in whichever logo assembly you want.

They do make a Nissan badge for our grille that you can swap in.
Sorry, slightly confused, 4DRZ. Are you saying that emblem is listed for the coupe and sedan? I ask because I'm also looking for an OEM NISSAN front grille emblem for my G37 sedan. I ordered part # 62890-JK00A from Tom Hesser NISSAN in PA and it did not fit - even though it was supposed to.
Your link to the front NISSAN emblem for the G37 on Nissan Race Shop.com references part # 62890-JL01A, but it says in the description *Fits G37 Coupe* and there is no reference to compatibility with the sedan. Can you confirm this is the correct part #?
Good catch. That was the link they sent me for my sedan. It may be worth a call to make sure it fits before you order. I specified that my car was a sedan and I know that we talked about it. I do not remember if he said it was the same part or not, but he assured me they just got in the emblems for the sedan.
