Has any one changed their car battery yet?
Just changed battery on wife's 2009 yesterday. Did it myself, only took like 10 minutes tops, easiest job there is other than changing air filter. Also advanced auto parts gives 20% discount if you order online and use code EXCM4, you still pick it up from the store, just get additional 20% off.
I recenly bought a $27 socket set for removing rounded bolts for $17 (with $10 coupon) and picked up in store the same day.
Advance Auto always has really good coupon codes...I happened to use the $10 off any $25 item coupon. There are some even nicer ones if you're spending right at $100.
Just do a search for Advance Auto coupon code, and most often Retail Me Not is the website with them.
I changed mine out at around June. I used AAA so they drive to wherever I am and installl an Interstate battery for me for around 140. And they have pro-rated replacements similar to that of Costco. If the battery dies within the first three years it's completely free and they come to your house to exchange it.
I will never buy an optima battery again. The last 3 or 4 I put in my talon were absolute crap.
From here on out I'm only buying normal batteries and using the advance auto coupon "trt41". That's $40 off a $100+ battery.

Is this an ever-lasting coupon? Also, is it battery specific, or $40 any $100 purchase?

Just had the original battery replaced in my 2011. The car was still starting OK but the battery voltage dropped to about 11.9 V very quickly with the ignition off. Load test result was "needs charge"... This was the longest lasting battery I've ever had. Here in South Florida the heat usually kills them off in 2 years. Get it changed - it's not worth the aggravation of getting stuck somewhere.
Just changed mine yesterday. It died on me early Friday morning, and had been recharged every time tmit was at the dealership for the past couple of months. I guess the cold weather did it in.

I wound up replacing my battery. My cranking power was low. Probably my own fault since due to my own stupidity this past summer I had to jump start my car one day. I had an Interstate Megatron Plus installed.
I had my 2009's battery replaced last winter. Car just wouldn't start, and after a jump and driving around for forever, it would not hold a charge. I also had my dealer do it with an upgraded cold starting amps because the cost difference was negligible.
