^^My oil change interval (annual) happens to coincide with tire rotations, so i'd have to have the wheels accessible anyway. It would be much simpler to just drive on some ramps than play pingpong with the jacks/jack stands.
When I had the G, I did use a set of 4 drive on ramps to get the car level for things like diff and trans oil changes. My set of jack stands was mismatched and difficult to get the car level - one end higher or lower than the other. I suppose if I had rochester's arrangement, I'd just jack up the front under the engine to get the car level when refilling.

) Genius! I would have sat in the garage for at least 10 minutes looking at the race ramps before I realized I could just use the incline of my driveway. Was it difficult to get the front tires on the wood at the same time you backed up the ramp?
I did. There's a downward grade where I did this, on the parking pad at the end of our driveway. Plus I used a plank under the front tires while the rears were going up the race ramps. In other words, I made the car as level as I possibly could given the tools and conditions.

This is why it's important to inspect underside of engine. 5400 miles on the odo. Looks to be the seal at the driver front midshaft/diff.

I've been wondering when's a good time to do that again. It's been 5 years, but only 15k miles.

Oh, nearly 100% for oil changes, on 3 of our cars. The only other things I can think of over the years was when I installed that diff brace, and diff gear oil changes. Also, every Springtime I run the back end up the ramps so I can clean these shiny Fast Intentions mufflers. And then there was the time I needed to rip apart rotted heat shields on my kid's car.
But yeah... oil changes.
After years of getting nothing really on a magnetic drain plug, I replaced that with the Fumoto drain valve, and used the plug on the Sentra, which also has been clean when changing oil. I think if the magnet were gooped up, I wouldn't have installed the drain valve and stuck with the magnet.

What other vehicles share the same (manual) transmission or variant of it? Obviously I know about the 370. But is it internally similar to any Nissan trucks or other vehicles? (like how the 'smoothcase' RX7 transmissions are essentially the same as the B2x00 trucks, miata, etc and the RX7 turbo transmissions the same as the Aisin Warner in the 80s F150s...)

Would a vacuum leak be throwing a check engine light? I hear a slight hiss... ONLY when the car is hot and i've been driving for a bit, sounds like its coming near the left throttle body. But the car runs fine (I do think the idle is maybe slightly high, like 900 instead of 600, but i can't remember). It's just weird, cause it otherwise has no errors or issues. No codes scanned either.

Starting my g37 build
I just bought a 2013 Infiniti G37 Journey Sedan with the automatic transmission and with basically 100k miles, haven't done a single thing the it and I want to start building it and eventually maybe make 1000hp, so is that too many miles and should I get another G37 or is it ok with 100k miles?
