I think you should. Those black rims are too black on a black car.
Today was the first day I hand-washed the G in months. Every year, I'm routinely shocked at all the little orange specs down the doors and on the rear trunk/bumper. All well be right with the world after I get my first clay-bar session of the year going, but until then... OMG.
Catback arrives via UPS in four days. Oh-h-h-h yeah.

You should try jetseal sealant John

Hey guys I'm not really a double poster and forgive me for such but I'm trying to drum up attention for a really great opportunity for us AWD g sedan guys ( I know there aren't many lol) Anyways see the attached screenshot below, basically motordyne is looking for an AWD sedan for r&d to develop a shockwave exhaust for the Awd G!!! I started a thread but only looks so far and no posts so I can't really gauge if this is something people are not interested in or if it's just buried in the exhaust forum. So this being one of the more active sedan threads I figured I'd give it shot. I apologize in advance for double posting but it's the first confirmation I've seen that they (Motordyne) is willing to develop an awd exhaust!!!DOMO

You should definitely go for gunmetal on your black sedan, I just got my IPL wheels refinished and powdercoated a different shade of gray/gunmetal with clearcoat with a slight touch of flakes and love it so far and many people have said the same so far, anyway my brother had his CTS-V wheels refinished and powdercoated the same color and same finish for his Black G8 GT, because they were originally polished and that didn't look good at all and black wheels on black car wouldn't look good either, here's some cell phone pictures

damn, just got done with hand-washing your G for the first time this year? haha I just hand washed it myself again yesterday, and a week prior to that I did a session with clay-bar on the entire car and applied Chemical Guys Jetseal, man that thing works wonders, all I had to do yesterday was just use my pressure washer with the Chemical guys new foam cannon, soak the entire car with foam, and then rinse it off and dry it and it looked just as good as right after that clay-bar and jetseal week prior.

You know, there is a small climate diff between Western NY and NJ. Not much, but apparently enough that you are way-y-y ahead of me in Spring cleaning the car. In my defense, I did clay and wax the trunk and rear bumper today.
Baby steps

Might also contact Motordyne and have them post up an official reply or some official contact information. Sounds like you already got the ball rolling.

Also I got my Nismo CF door handle protectors from guys in Japan in just 3 days , shipped on the 3rd ,
delivered on the 6th yesterday and I put them on last night.
I like the idea of them covering the existing scuffs and scratches underneath the door handles,
as well as preventing from anymore of those happening and also adding a nice overall CF touch
tying everthing well together given I have two other CF parts on the car...
I only had a chance to snap literally those two pictures today...

Not a greatest fan of the "Nismo" lettering on them , but I kinda got over that, given the purpose these serve, might as well get few other Nismo things to balance it out..

Looking good Mike, the Nismo lettering is pretty small and is since it's an associated Nissan branded product it goes real well IMO.
Pretty cool find. How much were they if you don't mind asking (or shoot me a PM if you'd rather).
Thanks!

I guess you are right about that, I may actually have started to like the Nismo lettering a bit.I don't mind sharing here, it's $75 for coupes ( 1 set/pair = 2 doors) and $125 for sedans ( 2 sets ) both prices include express international shipping with tracking, to be honest I jumped on this right away few days ago especially since I was told these are selling very quickly at the mentioned pricing which I think is pretty fair.
Also it's all through guys at Japan Auction Parts page on facebook, Robbie and Mike (I don't think they're on here) who live in Japan and make it possible for us guys in the US to be able to get some JDM goodies or stuff that we simply don't have here...
I also am awaiting my JDM OEM smoked black window visors as well.
Guys like ZOSTER or RexHavoc can definitely vouch for them as they have dealt with them themselves as well.
Matter of fact, ZOSTER is awaiting his protectors as well!
Let me know how I can help

How do these mount?
Brad / Lego if you're interested I'm putting together an order with the same guys now. Might be able to save you a little on the shipping not certain. I'm just not sure when my order will ship, we're working on figuring out the optional programming for the power folding mirrors. (Yes Mike, they'll fold when I lock the car and open when I hit the start button)
Yeah I had to get them! The whole back side has one an even strong tape on the whole surface, I warmed it up with a heatgun a bit so it was more flexible.
Around that price range depending. Unfortunately, I have to have them stripped $40, possibly some rash repaired $150 per wheel, then recoated so it goes up exponentially. The other option would be to go to NJ and see if I could do it all myself at my uncle's shop. But I'm thinking that would actually cost more in the long run.

Yes! Now I like that much more!DOMO
They look like nicely designed trim pieces. I'm not big into CF, but appreciate the look, and the border edge, and the little NISMO logo is something we all recognize as uniquely Nissan. The cost is high, but that's irrelevant to assessing how something looks, and value is personal. Overall, it's an interesting item that I never heard of before until your comment and photos, and I'm happy for you that you're all jazzed up with something new. We all know how that feels.
But I don't actually like them on the car. If they were gray CF instead of black, and without the NISMO logo, I'm sure I'd feel differently.
